The Lyrics
Good day. It has been a while since my last submission, so the response to this one may be interesting. The lyrics were inspired largely by my parents and our inability to leave on time for any family event. I hope you enjoy. I think this is my first true duet, so I'm kind of excited to try performing this at some point in the future with someone who is willing to provide the 'her' voice. Oh, and pacing isn't spot on in some places. Funny and consistent with normal speech was more important to me for the most part.

Always late, it leaves me in frustration
I won’t have to grieve, if we both could only leave

Slowly, finely, cover when I wake-up
Don’t cuss, focus, one more line of make-up
What will others think, if they see the missing link?
