Parody written for "Ages Of AmIRight" contest after my initial idea hit a stumbling block. I was never mathematically inclined and wrote this song from the point of view of someone also not mathematically inclined. My actual high school homeroom was Room 15, but I did not drop out of school, I ended up expelled for something stupid and getting a GED 3 years after everyone else my age graduated high school.
*Heads down: When I was in school, from kindergarten to high school, the teachers always made the whole class put their heads down on their desks and turned the lights out at least once a day. Why they did this, I have no idea except possibly as a way of introducing kids to governmental control. You do not get asked to put your head down in college or at work...
*Solons: Politicians, referring to the crock of s*** that is government-owned schools.

Maybe they wanted to see if you could do the math.....Write a better parody and readers will beat a math to your door....I liked math in school...way back a few...Liked the math-meth line...

Boy do I hate math. Even though I like it, it turned out to be my worst subject. I liked math, but math never liked me. Math and I don't seem to get along very well. Well what's 5+5+5? The answer: A hilarious parody worth reading...as well as learning.
Math was a big problem for me, especially freshman year in high school. I used to tell people I could never get interested in numbers unless they had dollar signs in front of them. Seems you did well in English, though. Much more useful.
(Ages 2) Nice to see your parody again! You sure captured the frustrations and difficulties on how math can be. Math and I are like electricity and water and when it comes to problem solving, my brains fried. When I was in college, I wanted to study accounting to be an accountant, but I was never good at math. I suck at it. 5 to the 3rd power to this!!
Like AFW I was also a big fan of the "Math, Meth" line. This entire parody was silly and coming from a guy who did this parody last year: "Large Shark". I know how hard it is to parody. Well done ma'am.
Love the OS and you did a great job with this. I got lost towards the end with all the repeating parts (in the OS), but great job!

(AofA) Math has probably been my worst subject throughout my entire life. I don't like it one bit! This parody however, is a different story. I liked this one a lot.
(Ages) Some of the pacing was a bit off, particularly during the "the Love Shack is a little old place where we can get together" in which you always left out one or two syllables. That aside, I can sympathise with the postulation that Mathematics Class is complete bollocks. 455
AGES...wow, I LOVE this. Great pacing, funny lyrics...(probably the only time you'll see my proper English fanatical self letting "boringest" slide)...all around just GREAT.
