The Lyrics

A new political party in power is not going to solve any problems, but only create a different set of problems. I don’t believe that either party has done the things that make sense for America because they spend far too much time bashing each other and idolizing themselves. The beloved media has transformed politicians into a movie star-like existence, out of touch with the people they are supposed to be serving. Yes, they are PUBLIC SERVANTS and need to start acting like it. To start with, let’s have the people vote on their salaries and benefits, instead of them piling up riches, power and perks for themselves. Now how many career politicians do you think we would have? And don’t even get me started on integrity. There’s a word they need to look up! OK, I’ll stop there, I think you get my drift. ;-) Right now they are ALL frustrating the hell out of me!

"Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right." ~ H L Mencken
Kick out!!

I’m watching on the tube, man the news really blows!
And each time I sneeze, look how much I’ll owe!
I hiss, “You asses!” and go to work!
While they’re leeching middle class, and they keep all their perks!

You got no right!
What a sight!
Two Paaarties!

They ride in a limo just ‘bout every day!
Take private jets and our tax-es pay!
And cheating, they roam, then wave the flag!
Now they tomcat away, while we scorn, oh gag! (lusted)

You got no right!
You’re a blight!
Two Paaarties!

You got no right!

A public servant you should be when that oath you swe-ar!
But live like a ce-le-bri-ty and a billionaire!
Not in’tres-ted in your hy-poc-ris-y!
‘Cause you’re just zealous for pub-lic-i-ty!

You got no right!
Just incite!
Who? Paaarties!

You got no right!
Fly a kite!
Screw paaarties!

Paaaaarties!
Paaaaarties!

"The more you read and observe about this Politics thing, you got to admit that each party is worse than the other. The one that's out always looks the best." ~ Will Rogers

What do you get when you cross a donkey with an elephant?

A fat jackass!

Well, I hear about politicians spending our tax money on themselves and they're vain as hell! You made a great point there! I remembered watching this program in the Filipino channel that politicians in the Philippines spent I think $250,000 over a dinner party! Ridiculous! Them politician parties behave like a bunch of Boss Hoggs (character in Dukes of Hazzard who wrongfully arrests Dukes as he cheats people charging taxes and performs a bunch of get rich quick schemes). Oh, I also enjoyed that joke in the bottom comments! Party on 555's!!

Nicely put. Of course a large share of the blame resides in a population that allows this to happen through its own greed and ignorance of issues and their own history past and present. ;-)

Mark: Thanks for v/c, and I was feeling particularly venemous yesterday. ;P

Christie: Thanks to you for v/c. Only $250K? Must have been a small party. ;-)

Meta-man: Thanks, and your statements are absolutely correct, but that's another parody altogether. ;-D A large share of the blame also rests with those who take advantage of the population, goes back to the integrity issue. I believe that's why the gov't makes everything so complicated, so that a large part of the population will be baffled by their bullsh!t. :)

Leo: Glad you had fun with it, thanks for v/c! :D

Did I say $250,000? I meant $250 million!! Now, THAT'S a small party! LOL!!

Amen, Brother Blackjack! I hear lots of talk about having the same health care for congress that the rest of us get, but no one pushing this in Congress. The sad part of system is that people who might govern best do not want to have anything to do with system and those in or wanting in are about the last ones you want doing the governing.

"Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies."

You nailed it -- they forget that they are *our* hired servants, and think that we're TTheirs. 555

Dear Mrs. BJ21: Your husband is da bomb. Love, Fiddlegirl

SOMEone has beaten me to the punch in posting one of my fave Groucho quotes... so I'll offer another of Will Rogers': "Be thankful we're not gettin' all the government we're payin' for!"

"No man's life, liberty, or property are safe when Congress is in session".

"Now, suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a Congressman. But I repeat myself. "

Timmy1000: You're preaching to the choir brother, thanks for the comment.

Fiddlegirl: LOL Well that's likely gonna blow up in my face! ;-D

Groucho, Mark Twain, Will Rogers: Thanks for weighing in with your wisdom and wit.>BR>
John Barry: LOL, I think that one is better left alone. ;-)

You had me with the Mencken quote - excellent parody, and I completely agree with your frustration. In some respects it's worse over here: we have a third party that few people vote for, yet a majority when asked the question say they might or would if they thought there was a chance they'd get elected.

Democracy always seems to be spoiled by the voters, don't you think?

as i always say, it is us who are the problem. some of us - guess which party - always gives thier politicians pardon when they do things like dump thier dates off a bridge todie wondering why her hero isnt there trying to help, or when a muslum president lies and sends in 27000 more troops. fools keep voting them in. its we who have controll and power, but commie libs, greedy spolied snots, jealous, and unachieving stupid decision making idiots keep voting for thier commies who dump thier dastes in the drink, after they themself have had a few drinks. get it? i didnt help mc cain or odumba. im proud to have stood up for my beliefs instead of being an enabler of pigs. im not to blaim, bush isnt to blaim. liberals and the odumbanator are to blaim. enjoy what you voted for and got
