The Lyrics

Michael...you bashed us pretty hard yesterday. Please permit me to fight back a little. I say, "may the best team win". But, for the fan trash talk I say, "all is fair". I would hope I'd never stoop to vile, base and rude taunting. This is just an attempt at a little humor. Oh yeah...one more thing...Yankees Suck !!!
New York Fans All Whine

Some fans like to talk real tough
They can’t get enough… when the “Big Game” looms
Writing trash, wearing Manning shirts
In their little rooms
Well, I’m asking this question
Since your teams choke every time
Why do you New York fans all whine ?

I've heard all you babies cry
“He’s a cheating guy…he runs-up the score”
But how ‘bout those Yankees…losing the final four
Were there some unfair tactics
That the Red Sox employed that time ?
Why do you New York fans all whine ?

It isn’t easy knowing year by year
Seasons end…filled with sorrow and pain
But now’s the time for you all to prepare
The Pats may beat…your team again

It’s like this Mr. Pacholek
Mr. Belichick is the coach to beat
Don't know if the Pats will win or will face defeat
But whatever the outcome
Let’s try and show some spine
Please…don’t you New York fans all whine

It’s just so whimpy when you say and say
“It’s not right…those mean guys don’t play fair”
But this is not a game for little girls
So suck it up…and grow a pair

Now your Statue Of Liberty
Is a play you see…and it’s kinda sweet
Your rant’s like a Jobim tune with a Samba beat
It’s just one note repeating
Preceding your decline
Why do you New York fans all whine ?

I just wonder if you know this is how you are defined
I guess it’s a New York state of mind

Allow me to be the first to counter the drive-by one-ing with 5s on this. Only fans worse than Yankee fans? Florida Gator fans.

Ahem. You think a little glory over the last six years wipes out nearly a century of collapses? No, especially when the football part of that glory is completely tainted. And once Tom Bundchen and Das Boot get a face full of Usi Umenyora, it ain't gonna be too pretty. Let's not forget that Billy Joel is a Yankee Fan. Couldn't find a good New England artist to borrow a song from? Who's New England got? Aerosmith? Puh-lease. The New Kids On the Block? Ha! (Okay, the Walberg brothers turned into good actors.) What else? Donna Summer? Disco sucks. There's Gene Pitney, if you wanna count the Hartford area, but then he did a song called "Last Exit to Brooklyn." No, it isn't very pretty what a town without pity can do. And the name doesn't rhyme with "Belichick." The accent is on the second syllable, so it rhymes with the other San Diego quarterback, the one who, fully healthy, still wouldn't have been as good as Philip Rivers: "Volek." Let's face it, the only good thing about New England is the politicians.

5s MP got and 5s you get, even tho' instances are rare -- and SBXLII isn't one of'em -- when I can root for a Beanburg team in any sport. But hey, I'm a Nats, Pirates, & Caps fan, so rarely have _anyone_ to really root for. :-)

I live west, far from the fray. But do enjoy NY sport bashing anyday. Pats-55 Giants-5 (field goal/safety)

Thanks McKludge, Stan and ranaldo. Michael...I'm glad you liked it. I thought using A Billy Joel song was...well...ironic. Some bands you forgot include The Cars, J Geils and...errrrr...Boston. I knew the names didn't rhyme...I just wanted to pay homage to you. I think we maybe should watch the game together. I'll bring the Sam Adams and some Cape Cod potato chips. I know your wheels are turning and can hardly wait to see what you come up with to bash me back.
