Parody Song Title:

"The Hatter's a Nut"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Some cups are full of coffee or milk
But drinking those is
Not allowed with a crowd of this ilk
Though you may start wondering why
You won't get it so it's best not to try

They lift liquid stuff and they drink
They offer you some out of niceness
Yeah or so you think
You want to have some tea, but
You can't because the hatter's a nut

Now, your hosts are quite atrocious, all three
Hatter and hare can't stay in chairs
And the mouse is asleep
Well it was until that
Thing that you said about Dinah your cat

It's hard solving riddles that lack
A clear cut answer -
Why'd he stammer when you asked him back?
The case is open and shut
The old hatter's a nut

Your heart's full of un-mirth
Honoring your un-birth
Hatter seems amused
But you're frustrated and confused

Now time's ruined in multiple ways
The white rabbit's in a panic
Has to go someplace
His clock's declared to be slow
So it's buttered up and then it explodes

No cups should have whole sides cut right off
It's a belief that all
Your hosts would think merits a scoff
He might not have made the cut
But he approved because the hatter's a nut

I'm sure that you're scared of
That with which the hare thumped
His companion's hat
And then no one got mad about that

No one's in their right mind except you
Their march toward madness ended
Before you ate and then grew
Ten feet tall and made yourself shrink
They could all use one is what you must think

Some cups are made of plastic or glass
Those both would make a lot more sense
Since a mess gets made fast
But fine white china is what
They'll use I bet it's since the hatter's a nut

The old hatter's a nut
You know the singing hatter's a nut
Will he ever shut up?

Nice one Ethan.

Off topic but funny: The other day my mom had the country music station playing on the radio and this song came on that I KNEW I'd never heard before but still it sounded familiar. After about two verses I found myself shouting out: "It's 'Look Where You Are Driving'" ! ;-D

These parodies are a matter of lust. Have some 5's on the old nut hatter.

(Amiright Idol) I'm sorry Ethan, but I often couldn't follow the pacing many times throughout this one. It's a clever idea, but a bit too ambiguous for performance.

(AmIRight Idol) The Original Parody was one of Al's worst, you guys all seemed to follow the theme of the round well by making smart choices as to which songs would be good to improve upon, yours beats Al's version, but this would be a tad difficult to record. "No cups should have whole sides cut right off It's a belief that all Your hosts would think merits a scoff He might not have made the cut But he approved because the hatter's a nut" was a pretty killer section of your parody though.

(Idol) It's been too long since I've read Alice in Wonderland to get all the references here. This was a good topic set to a song that the target audience would know. Unfortunately, I have no idea how this stacks up against WAY's version, but your lyrics are an improvement over TOS.
