Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Vote For the Terminator"

Parody Written by:

Rice Cube & Watt Daddy

The Lyrics

We're not completely endorsing Schwarzenegger because we don't know his complete campaign platform, but considering that voting for Bustamante will be even WORSE than keeping Davis in power, and Ah-nuld is the leading Republican candidate who has a ghost's chance in hell of becoming governor...oh, the parody mentions Peter Ueberroth, Arianna Huffington, Gallagher, Gary Coleman and the two (or one, now that Simon is out) leading Republican challengers.
Gary Coleman's on his way, voters are recalling Gray
Nonspecific platforms coming out of Larry's nose

Join the party Republican, Schwarzenegger's got a vision
Paparazzi, Pop's a Nazi, Davis gotta go

Race has bounced Simon, though he paid a hefty sum
And lo! showing thighs, porn stars along for the ride

Arianna's got beef against all our SUVs
Gallagher's got watermelons, smashing them in your eyes!

CHORUS
Vote for the Terminator!
His campaign is simple
For the common people
Vote for the Terminator!
'Cause it's really silly
T'vote for Bustamante

Shelley's stalling didn't work, Gray and Cruz are being jerks
ACLU go get a clue, judges wouldn't block

Clinton's back again, Gray Davis is begging
"Please don't recall, don't vote for the jock"

Feinstein, Martin Sheen, Hollywood is getting mean
Empty pockets in San Fran, taxes rising what a sham!

Record deficits, scaring away business
Big disgrace, Gray replaced, save us from the distress!

CHORUS

Who smoked pot? Who smoked crack? Who will call the kettle black?
Mudslings, that's a lie, tell it to the other side

Ueberroth's got it all after leading baseball
Union's on Cruz's side, newspapers attack the right

But by golly, Webster's sponsored by the media
Even so, he knows, Ah-nuld's not just muscles

Too cool, and he's married to a Kennedy
Terminator leads polls, come on give him your vote!

CHORUS

Turn away from Dems, sense returns to our land
Plot un-furlin' checkmate for Gray Davis

Backstabs in the Rotunda, soundbytes in the media
I just can't stand phonies named Huffington

Recall, mark the X, who cares who Ah-nuld sexed?
This poor state, gone astray, what else do I have to say?

CHORUS

Camejo butting in, trying out his luck again
Tube spots, pot shots, who debates? We'll talk
Not since Reagan in his prime has an actor qualified
Davis hatches counterplan, LA Times says "Cruz da man"
Tom McClintock's on the slide, Republicans can't decide
State's in debt, worser yet, they'll tax our housepets
Schwarzenegger has the cure, handles issues self-assured
Even though he's hardly pure, better than Davis for sure!

Vote for the Terminator!
He has got the passion
Gonna take some action
Vote for the Terminator!
When Davis is gone
Ah-nuld will go on and on and on and on...

CHORUS to fade...
Forgot to mention Darryl Issa, but he dropped out long ago.

About as coherent as Arnold's platform, and as substantial as Arnold's resume. On the other hand, "Who smoked pot? Who smoked crack? Who will call the kettle black?" was a great line. But lucky for you this parody doesn't qualify for a crime, or else Governor Davis -- or Governor Bustamante -- would have to pardon you.

Songs about the California recall are totally inappropriate, so I can give this no better than 5's.

I would've thought this would be a hard song to parody, yet it keeps popping up. Great pacing here, althought the topic's dated, but quality stuff! - 555

(ABC) I don't know squat about American politics either because I am a truly patriotic country-loving flag-waving baseball hotdogs apple pie AMERICAN. That previous sentence is intentionally ridiculous because too many Americans take themselves too freakin' seriously, in my patriotic opinion. 5's for this properly pumped-up parody, JA !!!

(ABC "V") - Vell, Ah-nuld has not been as bad as I feared, nor as good as I fervently hoping (but not really expecting)...but this parody is very well done -5's ~ ~ ~
