The Lyrics

First Rebekah Dub parody of the new year, based on the dry spell I endured after my 25 Parodies of Christmas challenge.
Now everybody, have you heard
If your mind’s a-blank, then dry spell’s the thing
Whether it’s writer’s block or a rut
Career or sexual, click a link and

Dry spell struck you
Could make a change or two with one click
Dry spell struck you
(Dry!)
Dry spell struck you
Just pick a number now
Dry spell struck you
Think you’ll be over it but man you’re just overloaded

Take your notebook out, keep it all in place
Move your pen right along the page
First you make a note of everything you’d like to
Try and then you go out and try it all, it all

Dry spell struck you
Let me help you resolve it all
Dry spell struck you
(Dry!)
Dry spell struck you
Get it together now
Dry spell struck you
Think you’ll be over it but man you’re just overloaded

Dry! Spell! Dry! Spell! Dry! Spell! Dry!

Better look around at your surroundings
Pay attention and you won’t have dry spells
Don’t-cha take no chances, sift through magazines
Or the Internet, especially Google

Dry spell struck you (dry spell)
Dry spell struck you (dry spell)
Dry spell struck you (dry spell)
Dry spell struck you (dry!)
(Damn it!)
Dry spell struck you (dry!)
Dry spell struck you (damn dry spell!)
Dry spell struck you
Dry spell struck you
Think you’ll be over it but man you’re just overloaded
If this parody sucks, at least I could use my aforementioned dry spell as an excuse. ;)

Hey, I wondered what happened to you! 555! It happens to a lot of people. I am so burned out right now after 9 mos in a row of writing almost everyday to get to 865 parodies! I am holding at #11 for parodies and also have submitted nearly 1000 other entries on-site to reach #20 top contributor! And I also am on a NG plus other sites. But as GaGa has tattooed on her left arm from German philosopher Rilke- I must write or die!

Thank you. Yeah, I was hoping to write some more between Christmas and New Year's, but I just didn't have any ideas. That and I was focused on my series that I'd wanted to get published since high school. One of my goals is to become a top contributor, but I want my parodies to be good and interesting, which is why I may take my time. Do expect more parodies from the Dub in the coming days though. I don't plan to go away just yet. =)
