The Lyrics

Depeche Toad!
Get buzzin!

Everybody's squawkin: hoppin all around me
Ponds and streams are where I live
It--it's so confusin, jumpin to conclusions
That's my frogative...

They say I'm jumpy: I'm really not scared. That's my frogative
They say I'm horny: But I don't give a damn, eatin flies is how I live
Some ask me questions: Why am I so green?
Don't have the froggiest, idea of what they mean
It's time for supper, but these bugs they make me choke
I'll never die, but I'm sure to croak! RIBBIT!

Everybody's squawkin, hoppin all around me
Ponds and streams are where I live
I can't hit the high notes with a frog in my throat
That's my frogative!

It's my frogative! I can hop all around the field
It's my frogative! My tongue sticks to my meal
It's my frogative! Playin leapfrog with my crew
It's my frogative! It's just a hop-skip-jump to you

Don't get me wrong, I'm really not a prince
Leaps of faith are not my thing
But these silly froggy jokes, really get me down
So when I leave, don't ask me where I'm bound!

Everybody's squawkin, hoppin all around me
Ponds and streams are where I live
I can't hit the high notes with a frog in my throat
That's my frogative!

It's my frogative! I don't waste time with toads
It's my frogative! Tadpoles project small votes
It's my frogative! Take notes on a lily pad
It's my frogative!

So tell me, tell me why...can't I...pay my bills...(pay my bills)
With all...of the green...backs I've saved?
.
.
.
Everybody's squawkin, hoppin all around me
Ponds and streams are where I live
I can't hit the high notes with a frog in my throat
That's my frogative!

It's my frogative!...

I've been trying to think of a way of fitting the dying/croaking joke into a parody (like the comedian with laryngitis), doesn't surprise me that someone beat me to it by nearly a couple of years :-) Some great lines in this one, Jeff.

Thanks Phil...this was actually written back in 1988/1989 in high school, and is one of my personal favorites (even spawned off a "Frog Catcher Video" as a class project in 1989). Glad you liked it!

My bizarre imagination fuelled by this quirky piece had some MESSED UP visuals dancing through my mind. This had real energy and clever puns, 3 well-earned 5s for you to exh-ribbit.

(ABC) This parody is kneedeep...kneedeep...kneedeep in neat neologisms!

(ABC) "My tongue sticks to my meal" was a cute line.
