The Lyrics

didnt realize how long this song was until i made a parody of it
(Holy Cow)
Little midget men are singing loud and they're cheering and I cannot fathom why
(Holy Cow)
Our house has landed and there's a big celebration since somebody has just died underneath
(Holy Cow)
What is wrong with them since this unfortunate person is now dead and they all scream with joy
(Holy Cow)
I can only guess that all these people were terrified of whoever has recently died
(Things are much brighter)
So much brighter than my uncle's farm
(Things are much brighter)
So much brighter than my uncle's farm

(Holy Cow)
The deceased has left a pair of ruby red slippers and they say those shoes are mine
(Holy Cow)
Some strange lady asked am I a good witch or bad witch but I'm not any kind of witch at all
(Holy Cow)
The small people said that there's a brick road of yellow to follow to go see someone who's wise
(Holy Cow)
I am filled with dread since I don't know what's ahead of me I wish I had a book as my guide
(Things are much brighter)
So much brighter than my uncle's farm
(Things are much brighter)
So much brighter than my uncle's farm

And some woman who is green, is saying I killed her sister
And I said that I did not mean to but she will just not listen
And I am just a Midwestern teen, how did things get so wrong
I'd better hurry up and get to the man who's wise
Cause she might use her broom to poke out both of my eyes (both of my eyes)
Toto I'll walk with you, and we're gonna leave this place
We're living in a wonderland that isn't so safe

I really don't like it here
We'd better get on out of here
We'd better get on out of here

Once I used to dream I would go somewhere like this but now I long for life on a farm
But what are we to do? oh, Toto, Kansas is real far
I have never seen so much reason for fright as being in the place where we are
Gotta leave this place, but Toto, Kansas is real far

(Things are too bright now)
(Things are too bright now)

(Holy Cow)
There's a straw filled man who wants a brain for smarts and now he is walking with me
(Holy Cow)
Now we found a tin man who's in search of a heart and now the company is three apart from me
(Holy Cow)
Had to use a can that was filled up with lots of oil cause the Tin Man was paralyzed with rust
(Holy Cow)
Now we're in a land that's causing me to feel quite threatened, I think there are things here that I don't trust
(Things have been brighter)
I am longing for my uncle's farm
(Things have been brighter)
I am longing for my uncle's farm

And we're going down the road, there are lots of trees around is
And I wish I can get back home, before the monsters have found us
Through the trees we continue to roam, why are we singing songs?
Attention to ourselves is what we're going to draw
Our songs are like a magnet to beasts with nasty claws (with nasty claws)
We've got to leave here soon, since I don't want to die
There's lions and some tigers and some bears here oh my!

I really don't like it here
We'd better get on out of here
We'd better get on out of here

Once I used to dream I would go somewhere like this but now I long for life on a farm
But what are we to do? oh, Toto, Kansas is real far
I have never seen so much reason for fright as being in the place where we are
Gotta leave this place, but Toto, Kansas is real far
Oh Toto Kansas is real far
Oh Toto Kansas is real far
(I am so frightened)
(Oh it's a lion, holy cow)
(growling by the cowardly lion)
(barking by toto)
(more barking by toto)
(more growling by the cowardly lion)

Good song. Tough one too, it is very long, and a tough pacing scheme in my opinion. You did a good job.

Are you a bad man? No, you're actually a good man and a good parodist. You're just not a very good wizard. You get a perfect score for avoiding the obvious, rewriting "Over the Rainbow" or a song by -- of course -- Toto.

Another song aI love as a teen, I might have given 5's but I'm not quite sure you got the scheme down perfect; part of that is I would have put more line breaks in with the long lines, but it is a *really* tough scheme to follow, so for all I know you were perfect. The lines were hilarious, too - "a woman who was green," etc.. This OS might almost rank up with the really tough ones like "...Edmund Fitzgerald," it's a notch below at worst. Eh, maybe I should have given all 5's, but 455 is still great.
