The Lyrics

The title means that this problem is more than just skin peeling.
I woke up this morning and my cheeks were red
Put on some lotion to help my face
And then my skin pealed and pimples arrived
I think this problem won't go away

It's more than a peeling (skin isn't healing)
I got pimples surrounding my whole face (more than a peeling)
I hope i'm dreaming (skin isn't healing)
These stridex pads better work away
Stridex pads better work away

Left side is peeling right down my neck
This clearasil just won't work right
Benzoyl Peroxide wears off in an hour
This oils surrounding my whole left side

It's more than a peeling (skin isn't healing)
I got pimples surrounding my whole face (more than a peeling)
I hope i'm dreaming (skin isn't healing)
These stridex pads better work away
Stridex pads better work away

This pimples about 5 months old
My blackheads have been here since early May
If theres one cream that works real good
I'll buy it soon as I can today
To heal my face, to heal my face

It's more than a peeling (skin isn't healing)
I got pimples surrounding my whole face (more than a peeling)
I hope i'm dreaming (skin isn't healing)
These stridex pads better work away
Stridex pads better work away

Obviously a cry for help. Spend some money, see a doctor, get something that works. Nobody these days should even have to THINK about writing about something so revolting, painful, humilliating, and hopeless as non-prescription "treatment" of acne. Want to write a great big parody? Go after the companies that peddle false hope in the name of medicine, advertise and sell these products that will clean this and disinfect that and cost you a bundle and offer hope spelled backward and you might as well rub dog poo on your face because for real acne the only fix is SOUND medical diagnosis and prescription medicines. The Pomfret has been there and done that. So why don't the prescription drug companies advertise the plain truth that their products actually WORK? Because they chose to put their advertising dollar into the far more lucrative erectile disfunction remedies. Mindless of the fact that a man with a face free of disfiguring facial acne will llikely NEVER ever need an erectile disfunction remedy.

Are you by the way any relation to Mikey Squirrel, sometime contributor to this site, or perhaps you are just using your middle name? Your artistries are remarkably similar, but you appear to be a kinder, gentler Mikey. Happy Memorial Day.

The pomfret doesn't seem to actually know anything about what makes a good parody. But what would you expect from someone who refers to himself in the third person uusing a pseudonym that is some sort of fish. This seems like a light-hearted parody about acne and nothing more. I didn't find it hilarious but it certainly wasn't worthy of ones. If this is a cry for help, then so are weird al's countless songs about fatness. (Weird Al has never been fat)

I just saw this today and can completely understand. Acne is a curse and I've known a few people who suffered through it. Thanks be to God that their faces cleared up and they were healed of this disease. A very sensitive and heartfelt work, this one, that many of us might well relate to.
