Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Quailing"

Parody Written by:

Matthias

The Lyrics

Damn this guy was sure a Dick...
Well, hunting trip's aren't very nice
At least not with Cheney
Cause his sight's not right on that quailing day
Nor was stability
No, don't trust guns with imbeciles
Harry must agree
"He shot me"

It's not fun today on his Texas ranch
Dick's hunting's at an end
Cause the wind's not right
And he hit the boy his lawyer and his friend
No, don't trust guns with imbeciles
Lazar Tag's the key
Dick Cheney

Quailing
Takes me away, E.R cot right next to Harry

Heard a scream, and bullets peppered thee
I don't mean seasoning

Dick Cheney, he popped a cap in thee
When he's quailing
All shot up with agony
He'd rather LSD
He sure ain't brainy

Quailing
Puts me in pain in where I always feared it would be

Bullets stream in the wind to go hit he
And, eww, it's all bloody

Well, it's not that far from insanity
No licensed, S.O.B
Not on gin, not tight, now his quailing day, just stupidity
All you camo-wearing imbeciles
Drop the gun on three
One, two three

Quailing
Take Dick away to court, arrest blockhead VP
Hunting team? I'd rather play rugby
Unless it's R.I.P

(SOTM contender) Thank you for the recording to help me follow the parody. This was absolutely hilarious! The right parody at the right time. You probably wouldn't have gotten votes like this for the 17th parody of "Cheney's Got a Gun." 555

(SOTM) Cheney has a Christopher Cross to bear.

(SOTM) Heh heh. Definitely one of the best Cheney spoofs out there, Matthias...a few pace problems but easy to forgive. And now you have an automatic entry for the Q comp later this year!

(SOTM) What's with the original artist and flamingos? *Looks at all the album covers on the right* And is there a shooting at pinko liberals subtle bonus joke with your choice of OS here? Or is that just my imagination?

(SOTM) Did anyone ask Cheney for his gun license? Love the title.
Red Ant - March 12, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Many many great subs throughout; particularly "imbeciles" for "miracles". I hadn't heard TOS in a while so I d/l the MP3, not the easiest of songs to pace but good job there too. 3 #5 pellets.

(SOTM) inspired use of the OS, Matthias

(SOTM) Hopefully my entry in next month's contest will be as good as this one. It's a parody of the same song, but it's called 'Scurvy'. Brilliant job, Matthias, but (keep in mind I'm an Aussie so I'm not up to date on the latest American politics) who the hell is Dick Cheney?
Phil Alexander - March 24, 2006 - Report this comment
I'm not sure about the "don't trust guns with imbeciles"... but certainly don't trust imbecile VPs with guns :-)

(SOTM) One of the better Cheney parodies, and the OS was a brilliant choice. 555

SOTM - no votes or opinion from the resident Republican... I don't want my political views to ruin your scores like people did to me with my pro-GOP spoof of "My Sweet NeoCon". Political parodies are always dicey when one is outnumbered.... lucky you.

Well, with his aim I don't think we have to worry about Cheney being sent to Iraq anytime soon........MM

(ABC) a-HA! So my earlier prediction proves true! This time I listened to the OS, and the pacing seems a lot better than just with a lyric sheet. And this line stood out for me on a reread:

"Heard a scream, and bullets peppered thee I don't mean seasoning"

Even funnier the second time around. =)
tomario - February 12, 2007 - Report this comment

(ABC) Pretty funny, Matthias. Also very descriptive on the blood and gore and pain and all that. Alternative idea on the vice-president thing... "Quayle-ing" Get it? Dan Quayle? Aw forget it. What do you expect? I'm Canadian. Good job. 555
