The Lyrics

Gee, this one hasn't came out in like October 2015 or January 2016, so I figured it may be time to write it out. Sung by Jon Arbuckle, Garfield's owner.
[Verse 1: Jon Arbuckle]
I was at the table sitting down,
Like I do every time.
Sitting here with Garfield,
Who had to leave at nine.
And in my house, it's lonely,
It's fallen into disrepair,
I had made my way out this big old house
And a mouse was on my chair.

[Chorus: Jon Arbuckle]
And I said, "Mousey, I'm a lonely man,
I had lived my life in this garbage can,
Garfield had left me alone, is time still going by?"
It said, "Time goes on. Time passes by.
All the days may fly, and sail through the sky,
The years may come and go.
Time goes on, you know."

[Verse 2: Jon Arbuckle]
Sooner, the background changed it all to ol' xkcd.
Two stickmen at the beach, which makes it so hard to reach,
They each got lonely.
Cueball was building a castle,
Which Megan was standing in.
He said, "If you think it's okay, we could sail right away,
If our sand castle comes back again."

[Chorus: Jon Arbuckle]
And I said, "Garfield, I'm a lonely man.
The sand castle's big but I can't go in.
If the crew comes back, do you think that time will stop?"
And he thinks, "Time goes on, time will go by.
All the weeks may fly, and sail through the sky.
The years may come and go.
Time goes on, I know."

[Bridge: Jon Arbuckle]
Every comic will get sent, and be published right there,
And I know it should appear,
On SRoMG.

[Verse 3: Jon Arbuckle]
On the table, still with my cat. Still in lonely mode.
After months were going, we made it back, into a lonely road.
My cat is glancing the fourth wall, knowing how sad I get.
Time had skipped right away, and through my day, well as my loyal pet.
But I say, "Garfield, I'm a lonely man,
I had lived my life in this ol' trash can,
Because you've died and have became an old skeleton...
But time goes on, time passes by.
Days may pass on by, and sail through the sky,
The years may come and go,
Time goes on, we know.

[Outro: Jon Arbuckle]
Days may pass on by, and sail through the sky,
The years may come and go.
