Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Rockin´ steady in my daddy´s plane
This is the final day
And we´re all insane
´Cos it´s over
It´s over

I had the airforce
And a mindless soul
It´s gone with the war
Gonna be so high tonight
Yeah all night

Folks, we´ve been proned for this
Since Y2K
No problems more, the slate is clear
There´ll never be another day

This is the way we´re living on Airforce One
´Cos now we cannot go home
Here is the day, we´re living on Airforce One
Now that the whole world is gone

Saudis, Saddam, oil, and foreign affairs
I made borderline moves
That gave the UN nightmares
Daily
It was all right with me

For special favors
Took it all in cash
Can´t spend it later
I have made the Nasdaq crash
Tough shit, tough shit

Som polls said "easy war is easy score"
In ´004
But one raid weren´t enough for me
I held on tight and ordered more

This is the way we´re living on Airforce One
From here we launched the attack
Here is the day, we´re living on Airforce One
Now that the whole world is gone

This is the way we´re living on Airforce One
A human future we lack
Here is the day, we´re living on Airforce One
Now that the whole world is gone

This is the way we´re living on Airforce One
And now we cannot go back
Here is the day, we´re living on Airforce One
I´m new to this site but I have already noticed that Dubya- and Warbashing are very popular themes here. So I thought I´d give it a try myself. And as someone (I don´t know who) once said; "War doesn´t determine who´s right, just who´s left." I picked the original song to use for this theme because "paradise" in the original has that aftermath second meaning that I thought could give an extra subtle point to it. Also because the angle itself made it possible to put the song on a higher plane (pun intended) than the downright outspoken Dubya-bashing that is used by thirteen doomsday-prophets per dozen. In other words: I´ve tried to come up with something original. Not sure how good it has worked out though. A third verse would have made it possible to expand a bit on the context. I have a feeling that there are uncharted humourus territory available there. Maybe some of the pros here can find a better working original song to do that with. :-)
