Song Parodies -> "Philadelphia Failure"

Original Song Title:

"Philadelphia Freedom"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Elton John

Parody Song Title:

"Philadelphia Failure"

Parody Written by:

Aaron Abas

The Lyrics

This is based on Elton's performance in Melbourne 1986. His vocals were terrible!
I used to be a rasping node
You know if the tone was right
I'd leave to find a hospice on the road
I used to be a node shaking for someone
But the range has changed
The more I sing the more my voice gets done

(pre chorus)
'Cause I sing and breathe this Philadelphia failure
From the day the nodes have grown they've hit my throat
Philadelphia failure took me knee-high to a man
Yeah gave me peace of mind my daddy never had

(chorus)
Philadelphia failure shine on me, I love you
Shine a light through the throat of the one with the nodes
Shine a light shine a light
Shine a light, shine a light!
Philadelphia failure I love you, yes I do

If you choose to you can give your voice a change
Some people choose the whistle (Some people choose the whistle)
Some others choose the good falsetto range (Some others choose the good falsetto range)
I like singing easy without vocal cords tied (singing easy)
Till the whippoorwill of failure zapped me
Right between the eyes

(pre chorus)

(chorus)

Lemme tell ya now,

Philadelphia failure shine on me, I love you
Shine a light through the throat of the one with the nodes
Shine a light shine a light
Shine a light, shine a light!
Philadelphia failure I love you...
Don't you know I love you...
Don't you know I love ya, love ya, love ya

Yes I do! (Philadelphia failure)

I love ya, love ya, love ya
Yes I do! (Philadelphia failure) (x3)

I love ya, I love ya yes I do!
These aren't the actual lyrics, I've rewrote them myself since the titles were changed; the concert was uploaded on YouTube with changed titles to match Elton's vocal shape. Anyway you can find my lyrics in the comments section of those videos!

I guess I'll have to check out those videos to see how bad it was but I stick by my earlier comment that it couldn't POSSIBLY be any worse than Florida Georgia Line! ugh! 5's
