The Lyrics

Ok, this is admittedly gross, but several of my friends dogs do this. This was one of FNM's bigger hits off of their first record with vocalist Mike Patton in 1989.
Back for more he sniffs the wind
Help my dogs eating feces again
Right out the grass and into his mouth
Where it goes back in and then it's back out
Most times it makes him sick
When will he realize?

Because the dog sickens every day
And the placement of the muzzle will keep him away
But it's gross, there's a way he will eat

Is there a drug to fix my pet pug?
Vetrinarian?

Got a pooper scoop for my pug
No love in this chore for me
Have a pooper sccop for my pug
My dog is eating his feces
Somebody stop this forever

Chowin' down on whats on the ground
Not like he doesn't have dog food around
My neighbors stare at this nasty sight
Vetrinarian again, man does that vet bill bite

Answers of yes and no, they say "That's just normal"
From his bottom he drops a pile like mine
From the top the worst dog breath of all time
Did you know? It's a sickening sight

Is there a drug to fix my pet pug?
Vetrinarian?

Got a pooper scoop for my dogs
Don't stop him from eating logs
Have this pooper scoop for my dogs
My dogs still eating his feces
Somebody cure this forever
Somebody help me with rover
He thinks its a treasure
I think he does it for pleasure
Woah.

I can't honestly vote since I can't recall ever hearing this song before, but I will say that nature can be disgustingly funny...like how dogs tend to think that fecal matter is a type of candy...

Oh man, SJ, you need to pick up this CD, I think its titled "Epic", so old now you can probably get it for less than ten bucks. FNM is so remarkable in so many ways the can't evem put into a category. I think there are 12 songs on this CD, including a very cool instrumental, a remade version of "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath. I can so that only maybe 3 songs on this CD suck, but 9 out of 12 are great. How many CD's/tapes do you have you bought for just one song for 16.99 ( or more )? After you get this, get their next one titled "Angel Dust". It has every kind of singing and instrumental pieces except country.

So, what is Faith No More, are they hard-rock/metal? Oh wait, you just said you can't put them in a category. Well, I'm definitely a metal-head (I have more Metallica parodies than I do of any other artist I've parodied, and I still have more to come), but if this Faith No More is as good as you say they are, I will go give them a listen. I'm always open to add more to my always-growing music collection.

FNM if you had to try to catergorize them would be alternative, heavy metal, lounge singing, rap, speed/death metal, I bit of opera, and instrumentals. See, it's impossible to put them in one category. Also, lead singer Mike Patton has one of the most unique voices and best ranges of any singers out there. I don't have all of their CD's like the 3 before Patton was the lead singer, or the ones after Angel Dust when guitarist Jim Martin left, but these two CD's are freaking amazing.

I must my retract my self given 555 for this as I was reading the lyrics off a sheet and they didn't repeat the first chorus and refrain, and neither did I. And while FNM fans can forgive me, I HAVE this CD and listen to it all the time. And some of the lyrics don't rhyme quite right as in the song. And it's not THAT funny, so if I could revote, I would give me a 334 or so, but that unwarranted 111 pretty much already did that for me. Probably the only time I will ever be happy someone gave me a 111 with no reason.

The CD is called "The Real Thing", "Epic" was the "hit" single that people would recognize if anything. I believe there were only two major releases before this album, "Introduce Yourself" and "We Care a Lot". I only have WCAL but IY is quite similar from the stuff I've heard. Faith No More is actually very easy to classify (for me, anyway). It's pretty much a rock-based funk-metal type band. I know this isn't true in every song, but trust me, compared to the other Patton projects I listen to classifying Faith No More feels as easy as classifying the Backtreet Boys as "Pop".

Yeah, from what I've heard, Angel Dust was alot more like Mr. Bungle in respects. Also, I realize the title is " The Real Thing " not "Epic ". I only have TRT and AD, and I believe there are 3 CD's before TRT with 2 different singers, and one of them is from Faith No Men, changed to Faith No More after one of the leads quit/got fired. Also want to get the CD with " Last Cup of Sorrow " on it, can't remembe the name of it. PS- Rock, funk, metal is odd enough ( but fitting ) and I have heard of them being compared with RHCP, which makes me want to puke ( though they are good too ).

Guys, if you like Mike Patton's work with FNM, i would highly recommend you seek out his other projects with Fantomas, Tomahawk, and the recent General Patton Vs. The X-ecutioners. (try www.ipecac.com)

Fantomas' Suspended animation out in less than a week! It's a tribute to this april. Also check otu Faxed Head, Secret Chiefs 3, Estradesphere, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Kid Koala, Lovage, and all the other Patton related stuff you can get your hands on. Faith No More is the tip of the iceberg, times 10

Ahh, Faith No Man, yes.... in between them and Faith No More with Chuck, they tried out quite a few singers, including Courtney Love:) I have all the Faith No MORE albums with the exception of Introduce Yourself, the first "Greatest Hits" one, and I think the "Songs to Make Love To" EP. I have a few 12" singles from the Angel Dust era and a 2-disc special edition of Album of the Year on the way.

Thanks Dominic for the look. To Mr. Neither: I'll try to refrain from making "dumb" parodies in the future.
