Parody Song Title:

"Detroit, Detroit"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Load up the U-Haul
I'm leaving for good
I want to be far out of it, Detroit, Detroit
Tired of arsons
On Halloween night
Abandoned houses add to blight
Detroit, Detroit
I hate to wake up in a city that doesn't work
To find I am unemployed, full of despair
Those old auto plants
Are rotting away
And Eminem was born in it
Detroit, Detroit
If you could survive there
You'll survive anywhere
It's not for you, Detroit, Detroit.
I hate to wake up in a city that doesn't work
To find I am unemployed, full of despair
Those old auto plants
Are rotting away
And Eminem was born in it
Detroit, Detroit
If you could survive there
You'll survive anywhere
It's not for you, Detroit, Detroit

I thought this was right on the money regarding what I used to call "The Motor City". Sad, but true, Detroit has gone downhill.
