The Lyrics

In loving memory of Royce Miller June 9, 1957 - November 18, 2008. Friends of Royce who wish to send condolences to the family please send them to Lynette Bebereia, 4325 William Ave. Moses Lake, Wa. 98837. Royce published 546 parodies on Amiright and was right up there with the best of Amiright's parody authors. She also had a beautiful singing voice. I am lucky enough to be in possession of two songs on CD that she originally wrote and recorded. We shall miss you greatly Royce. I will be off site for a while.

Don't know the original song? Click here HERE to hear George Jones sing "He Stopped Loving Her Today"

He knew the way she felt inside,
Now past, now did, now out of time.
And in tears she slowly died,
As he prayed her way would find.

With every email and each call,
Calmed the crazies time again.
God still loves her through it all,
Hanging up her writing pen.

No one followed, no one led,
Fate had brought together two.
He so understood her dread,
Everything that she went through.

He talked to her just yesterday,
Oh, but she didn't have no tears.
Wasn't stressed, she seemed OK,
She wasn't quite as she appeared.

He stopped helping her today,
He feels such grief, rocked to his core.
His dear friend has gone away,
He stopped helping her today.

(Spoken)

You know she went and called him one last time,
She said she's glad he understood.
Oh how could he have been so blind?
He has to search for what is good.

He stopped helping her today,
He feels such grief, rocked to his core.
His dear friend has gone away,
He stopped helping her today.

Alvin, Stan & IB - I am so sorry to be the bearer of the bad news. I could thnk of no better way to pay my respects than in a final tribute to someone with so much talent. This was not an easy write. I cried through the whole write. I had really gotten to know her quite well in the past 11 1/2 months - she was indeed beautiful. Thanks for commenting and caring. God Bless.

Wonderful tribute...Royce was a very prolific writer on this site...She commented many times on my work, and I, on hers...her byline and fine parodies will be sadly missed

If any AmIRight parodist deserved such a tribute, it was Royceanne. She had a wonderful gift of music, and the quality and quantity of her parodies and her spirited comments will be greatly missed.

Thank you for your tribute, Guy. Royce was lovely and will be missed greatly. I remember a few years ago when she asked me if I would co-author a parody with her, just for the hell of it, and she wanted to do it the same way that Merry and I did. She had a great time sending emails back and forth and she came up with "Puff, my ass is draggin" - what a great title sub! RIP Royce, your passing makes me sad.

AFW - Thanks for your kind comments. Do not mourn her passing but celebrate her life and remember all the good times on the board with her. She would not wish for us to be saddened. John - Royce was a most beautiful person. She was a people pleaser with a heart of gold. It was a totally caring thing you did when you asked me to help her. She said that I brightened her days. I kept in touch with her for 11 1/2 months on a near daily basis. I learned just what a beautiful person she was. I totally knew her pain and that was invaluable for her to relate to. You do not know how much good you did. She was lonesome toward the end. It took 22 1/2 months for a mortal wound to catch up with her. She is in a much better place now. Her misery in the nearly two years after a very bad event in her life has come to conclusion now. The Lord knows what is best for us even if we do not understand, just have faith. As much as this hurts I still have faith.

Pip - I welcome your condolences from half way around the world. Please remember Royce in the happy moments that you shared with her. You must do as the parody says and find the good as I stated in the line:

He has to search for what is good.

That is where my mind is right now but the pain is still with me and will be for some time to come. Royce would want me to continue to write parody and I will in time. But right now my sense of humor is dormant. My most appreciative thanks go out to all who comment and pay their respects to one of our own. And worry not for God has bestowed mercy upon her immortal soul. Whatever you believe in any kind of afterlife find a way to celebrate her life and wish for her eternal happiness. If you cannot fathom an afterlife then celebrate her life here on earth. It was not wasted. Her funeral begins in less than two hours of this posting. Nov 22, 2008 at 11:00AM PST. God Bless all anf thanks for the kind condolences..

I just got Pip's email and came here to look at your tribute. Royce was a wonderful lady - she and I used to email occasionally. I was truly heartbroken to learn of her passing. I knew that it had been a pretty long time since I had seen her around here, but people come and go, so I never knew she was having any problems. I am glad to know that she had close friends like you and John to look out for her - she was blessed in that.

Sir Guy, this was a most loving & caring tribute to your friend & fellow Parodist; I wish this sweet one, a glorious Life in Heaven above. And I feel for your loss & grief, Sir, as well as the other Parodists who were associated with Ms Royce.

Merry - She also had family - two sisters and two brothers that looked after her. She would talk to me sometimes about people on amiright and how she felt a strong kinship to other writers and she wanted to come back as soon as she was able. She had so many other challenges to work out first. She was called home before she was ever able to overcome the challenges. Thanks so much for giving tribute to her memory in your kind comments. I wonder how many other of her friends on amiright are unaware of what has happened. I know that a lot of her fellow writers and friends have not commented here yet.

Guy, I just want to let you know that you have my condolences. I never knew what happened until I found out from your last comment in your latest parody. I'm really sorry about Royce Miller. I wished that I could have gotten to know her more and to read and comment most of her parodies. I actually responded to her Beatles parody of Drive My Car: Bait My Hook. This is such a beautiful parody tribute you wrote. I also understand what you're going through since she is a close friend of yours. It's really hard to lose a dear friend like Royce. :( I also hope that you will feel better over time. I will also take the liberty of saying a prayer for her...and for you, too. She will be missed.

Yes, I have heard of Royce Miller, and despite having had only a little over a year's involvement with this website, I am sad to hear of her passing. However, I did not know until reading this parody (actually more of a tribute) and its attached comments that Royce was a woman. God be with the Miller Family.

Your words are soothing Christie.. Words cannot adequately convey how I feel about your comment. Thanks for your compassion. The writing of the parody came straight from the heart and it was exactly what I was thinking when I wrote it. It was written quickly but not hastily.

Andria - Royce was a lot of fun on the site in her better days. She was extremely talented. Your kind comment is most welcomed. A lot of people didn't know that Royce was female. Her Christian name is Royceanne, but she went by Royce on the site. Thanks you for sharing.

My condolences entirely, I only wish I had found this site sooner to enjoy her parodies when she was around, I'm sure she'll keep them laughing. . .
Guy - November 23, 2008 - Report this comment
Dave - Had you come upon the site sooner you would have been richly entertained by here wide variety of subject matter in her parodies as she wrote them. You can however, run through some of her writings and help to celebrate a part of who she was. In addition to her writing she had a gifted voice. She was into a lot of good things and she was always a giving and caring person. Thank you most kindly for your condolences.

She was one of the very first to support my works here. She touched those of us who didn't have the privilege of knowing her in person by making us laugh, and she can live on through our memories of her and her works. Let us honor her by never forgetting who she was to each of us. Thank you for writing this, Guy.

Glen - Royce touched so many people out here that her memory will live on for a very long time on this site. Your sentiments are most kind. Thanks, Glen.

Like Glen, Royce was one of the first to comment on my parodies as well: always a kind and encouraging word to me. I'm saddened to hear of her passing, especially at such an early age. Although she has 500+ parodies to her name, "Zipper's In Two, Duh" remains my favorite. A very kind write to a fine author who will be missed.

This is indeed a shock. Thanks for letting us all know, Guy. Royce was very prolific when I first started contributing to Amiright and I've always considered her a site stalwart - she and I commented on each others parodies many many times - I'm sure Royce would love to be remembered through her parodies and we should each check out her work again and read a few as a tribute to her memory - beautiful writing, Guy

A lovely and very moving tribute to (an obviously) very special lady...

Red - She was often one to be the first to welcome newcomers to the site. She did the same for me when I first showed up here. Thanks for your kind words.

Stu - Royce commented with everyone it seemed. She loved the people on the site more than the parodies and she often wrote that if you write for recognition or votes you are writing for the wrong reasons. Her heart was in everything she wrote and what she loved most was sharing with people who liked what she liked and that was writing and sharing her thoughts and feelings with the rest of us.

Mandamoo - Royce was indeed a very special lady. Thank you for leaving a kind word to her memory.

All these comments from all you wonderful people help to make my day a bit easier. Thanks you one nd all.

I read the news of passing of Royce today, 25 Nov, Saint Katherine's day. I can say straight Royce Miller was my greatest inspirator here in AmIRight. She was witty, had her special kind of humour and was extremely sharp with her words and lyrics. She was one ot the people who really had talent and something to say. This day - 25 Nov - has always had special meaning to me. This year it meant reading of news of passing of a long time friend and a talented songwriter. But I am sure Royce will wait for all of us in the Heavenly Home. It is not about mourning her, but being proud we all knew her and knowing she finally has arrived to Home. Vaya con Dios, dear Royce. We all are going to miss you, but we all look forward for seeing you in the brilliance one day.

Susanna - What wonderful words you use to express your feelings and like you I shall miss a very dear friend but we shall see her again for it is promised. Royce had a positive impact on so many of us here on amiright. And she wrote for all the right reasons. I am pleased to see so many of Royce's friends pay their respects to her on this thread. God Bless, Susanna.

DKTOS but I read it anyway. I also treated the "how funny" category differently than we normally would, adding to the perfect score.

oh no...we just lost one of our long-time parodists?? How sad.. I remember Royce quite well, and I know I've voted/commented on some of her parodies. She will be greatly missed by all of us on this site. Anyway, this is a wonderful tribute to her, and I'm going to add my perfect vote to the ballot box.

Joe - There is a youtube link in the top comments that will play the OS for you if you would like. Thanks for your kind comment.

Serafina Royce helped make amiright what it is today. I miss her so much. She and I in the earlier days would often comment back and forth about each others parodies. It is hard for a new writer to get started out here even if they are really good. Royce commented on a lot of newbies' parodies, I being one of them. She for sure kept some good writers writing on this site who may have just hung it up because nobody paid attention to them. Royce was very outgoing and always had time for you.

I had a very deep friendship with my "queen" Royce, over the years. Her singing voice was beautiful, and her heart unequalled. That is why when I was wayyy over the top, as for total numbers, Royce was picked by me as MY queen. She had planned a trip to Toronto in 2003 to see me for a holiday, and meet my family. That sadly didn't come to fruition. She was truly a wonderful soul. Always the lady, no one here knew of our special musical friendship. I will miss her smiling eyes and emails at all hours of the day. I saw many of her candid life pictures and thought she was as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside. Now a Christian, I know Royce had a spiritual side that made her special. God took another one before more of his children met her. I an honoured to have come to know her in my life. Rest sweetly by God's side, peanut, and I will see you on the other side someday..... Malcolm

Malcolm - I have been waiting for you to leave your sentiments on this thread. I knew you and Royce were the best of friends. If I'm not mistaken, you and she did a few parodies together? And yes Royce had a personal relationship with Jesus. She is home now. Royce and I often traded comments and yes she was always the lady. I am happy that you have chosen the gift of the Lamb. I did not know that had occured in your life. Her passing has hit me and a few others out here quite hard and I know you are one that is included in this club that no one wanted to be in. God Bless Malcolm and thanks for responding and paying your respects. I know you lost a dear friend as a few others of us have.

Please PM me over the inthe00's messge board. I'd like to email some with you. My messageboard ID is DoRitos. The messageboard automatically forwards the message to my email which I check daily. God Bless you my friend..
