The Lyrics

I actually knew a guy like this, who drank and left working a cemetary. Not making fun of dead people really, just were all going to be there anyway someday. Tried to keep this as clean as possible because I do NOT like jokes about what people do to the deceased. PS- I could never do this job...way to depressing.
I get up around seven
Take afew shot before nine
But I don't worry about nothing no
'cause dead people have all the .....time

Sermon usually starts around seven
Funeral ends at nine
Then I get home about eleven
Taking a drink and getting by

(chorus 1)
We're all meeting with
Mr. Tombstone
Grim Reaper's calling he won't leave us alone
No, No, No, he won't leave us alone

(chorus 2)
I used to use a little but a little wouldn't do it
So the little got more and more
I kept trying to embalm a little better
Say a little better than before
I used to use a little but a little wouldn't do it
So the little got more and more
I kept trying to embalm a little better
Say a little better than before

(repeat chorus 1)

( no solo...just silence )

Now I get up around whenever
Dawn of the Dead all time
That old man is going to meet his maker
Now that he has finally died

(repeat chorus 2)
(repeat chorus 1)

Stuck him six feet under
And now all the bugs will plunder
Used to drive me outta my mind
I should have known better but they can't be any deader
I say I, I leave this job resigned....Later

You should follow this up with... "Dismembered Brain" as a parody of "November Rain" about zombies... 5-5-5

Lol, good idea. I have a few on the drawing board right now, but I'll try to get to that one.

From the date I take it that this was one of your early, and also from the almost intact second chorus. I'll like the idea though, one of those weird enough that went to prove you were more than the average "skater girl etc" noobs already back then. :-)

Thanks Peter, and yes this was one of my earlier ones when I was still composing in the submission box and didn't even use copy and haste ( as you have put it ) to type out choruses. Yeesh! Suprisingly enough, I spot remarkably few typos here.
