The Lyrics

An ode to my favourite movie car and the funkiest car customisation ever :-)
To travel in time was my lifetime dream
But it couldn't be done, or at least, so it seemed
Slipped on the toilet one day, hit my head
Did me a drawing
My capacitor, flux

Takes lots of power, gigawatts
Load it with plutonium, man it's hot
Put it in fifth, get it to eighty-eight
Capacitor, flux, will get you home tonight

It cost me money, hit me hard
I sold my house so I could build this car
It's sleek and it's silver, and it rips through time
And it might just change your life
With capacitor, flux
With capacitor, flux

First time you use it, you might be your dad
Next time you use it, the world has gone mad
And you'll be glad when you're homeward bound
That's the doojit, that makes time flip 'round

And it cost me money, hit me hard
I sold my house so I could build this car
It's sleek and it's silver, and it rips through time
And it might just change your life

They say that history repeats
The Tannens will be beat
Your kids will turn out fine
With each small twist in time
And just a little help from the Doc
And the capacitor, flux
It's the capacitor, flux

(loooong instrumental)

It cost me money, hit me hard
I sold my house so I could build this car
Powered by lightning, just mind that train!
Dress up as Vader, and fry dad's brain
You've seen the power, of capacitor, flux
That's the power, of capacitor, flux
With the capacitor, flux
With the capacitor, flux
My capacitor, flux

PERFECT!!! I'm a HUGE Back to the Future fan and you captured the movies perfectly in this parody of the trilogy's main song! I love this parody! Creatively humorous and original, and yet comfortably simple! Why didn't I think of this? Tell me, did you fall off the toilet, which in turn inspired you to write this? Darn, if only I had a time-traveling DeLorean....anyways, excellent parody!!!

Great theme, there's a lot of material to draw from. They had BTTF on TV two nights ago so I was ripe for reading this beauty.

(ABC) Great parody, though I hate the original song. I won't hold it against you.

(ABC05) Gosh Doc, this is heavy! What a great idea...the 2nd bridge didn't make much sense to me, but overall pretty damned good. Now excuse me while I make like a tree and get outta here...
