Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Black And Cayenne"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Little ditty bout
Black and Cayenne
Two peppers you use when your
food is quite bland

Black is on the table;
use a whole jar
Cayenne more pungent and a
little goes far

Put em on chili dogs
though I prefer cheese
Cayenne's sittin' on the shelf
It's mostly for recipes

Blackie say: --well, nothing;
it's inanimate you see
Look through those cookbooks that is
where they will be

And then you say
Oh yeah, spice goes on
Just grab you a mill
And grind until you're done

Oh yeah, spice goes on
Just grab you a mill
And grind until you're done

Black is put back because my
breakfast is donuts
I'll use him later; I make the
best baked beans

Well you know cayenne so
acrimonious and zippy
I only use it when I can't
taste nothin'

And then you say
Oh yeah, spice goes on
Just grab you a mill
And grind until you're done

Whether in a wok
or a bowl
Whether patty melt or a
casserole
You'll want to mix in
as strong as you can
Make an omelet real soon in a
simmering pan

Little ditty bout
Black and Cayenne
Two peppers that are good to have
In the kitchen

Obviously, somebody likes to eat at Applebee's. Everything there is "blackened" or "Cajun" or "Tex-Mex." Yuuuuck. Burned things are generally not good, unless I'm burning someone with a parody. Could be worse, though: "Don't eat there at Subway, Jared..."

Thanks everyone for the comments. And LL, to answer your question, I can't remember...I just sneezed and there it was, I guess.

Glad I found this. Wildly creative and original. (Too bad there's not a category for that.)

Very nice. Gotta say when I hear Jack and Diane, this is the one I go with.....and the fact I remember this one and not the original. Great job
