The Lyrics

Kinda funny, sad and true all a the same time? Does Wally World and pink hot dawgs worry anyone else??
There's a old man with a old cat
Living in a old neighborhood
He's got a discount store sittin' in his front yard
You know, he think, that he's not, got it too good
And there's a woman in the kitchen microwavin' a pop tart
And he looks at her and says: "hey darling, you're built like a sack of flour"

Chorus:
Oh but ain't that from Wally World
is 'at safe to eat?
Ain't that from Wally World
it wasn't free
Ain't that from Wally World ,
thought I'd never see, baby
Little pink hotdawgs for you and me

Well there's a young man in a t-shirt
addicted to his Game Station
He's got a greasy hair, from eatin' greasy fries
He says: "Wally World must be my destination"
'but they told me, when I was younger
"boy, you're gonna be president"
But just like small business, those old crazy dreams
Just kinda came and went

Chorus:
Oh but ain't that from Wally World
is 'at safe to eat?
Ain't that from Wally World
it wasn't free
Ain't that from Wally World ,
thought I'd never see, baby
Little pink hotdawgs for you and me

Well there's imports and more imports
Local jobs they go go go
Jobs are sent from some high rise
Way down to the gulf of mexico
Ohhh yeah
The big winners, make us big losers
But they ain't no big deal
'cuz the simple man baby pays for the thrills,
The bills, it's the bills that kill

Chorus:
Oh but ain't that from Wally World
is 'at safe to eat?
Ain't that from Wally World
it wasn't free
Ain't that from Wally World ,
thought I'd never see, baby
Little pink hotdawgs for you and me

Too much of the original

There is a little much of the original that could have been changed. As far as everything else, it's just too bad that it doesn't gel together with the theme. I did like the imagery you came up with. I would rewrite it.. 444 (sorry, that pacing vote shoulda been a 4, not a 5, my fault)

Okay, too much of the original, maybe I'll try again. I'm glad that you liked the imagery. Not sure I understand what you mean "it doesn't gel together with the theme." My reasoning for the images as related to the theme intended are that sometimes big business gets too big and has multiple negative trickle down effects. For example, Wally World type stores often hurt small business, imports to these stores hurt local factories, most of the jobs left are those at the store, since it's the only place in the small town (in the parody) to work or buy things, what's left for the town folk is to microwave junk food from the store, play video games bought there, and make due with sometimes unreasonably poor products such as little pink hot dogs. That was kind of a lot of obscure references huh? Maybe I'll try this one again and try to knit it all together better. Thanks for the advice! --Ol' JB
