Not only do we have the NSA collecting phone conversations, there are Drone aircraft being used inside the USA for who knows what reason (Oh, they are classified...that's nice). I remember seeing a Judas Priest concert in 1984 and I also remember this song. It didn't take that long to parodize the lyrics.
