The Lyrics

Based on an old joke, like many of my songs
Yeeaow ! Eee-Yowch!

I thought we had a good space program, now I am unsure
They sent me to the crux of the system, don't know what for
They said it would be safe to send me if I went there in the ni-ight
But I sure wish that I'd brought along my shades, it's sure bright

Now I'm walkin' on sunspots, Eee-yowch
I'm walkin' on sunspots, Wha-hooo!
I'm walking on sunspots, Whoa-no
And boy, does it smart! Hey!
It's hot now!
And boy does it smart! Hey! Yow!

I didn't volunteer for this mission, they sort of picked me
I hope it had nothing to do with my Polish ancestry
Now I'm sweatin' bullets and I'm being roasted alive
And all they sent with me was this SPF million and five

Now I'm walkin' on sunspots, Eee-yowch
I'm walkin' on sunspots, Wha-hooo!
I'm walking on sunspots, Whoa-no
And boy, does it smart! Hey!
It's hot now!
And boy does it smart! Hey! Yow!

Walking on sunspots, walking on sunspots, yeesh!

I feel that burn, I feel that scorch
I feel my skin starting to peel
I feel that burn, I feel that scorch
I feel my bones start to reveal
I'm on sunspots, baby, Ow! Ow!

Yeah, I'm on fire now, baby Ow! Ow!
Now I'm walkin' on sunspots, Eee-yowch
I'm walkin' on sunspots, Wha-hooo!
I'm walking on sunspots, Whoa-no
And boy, does it smart! Hey!
It's hot now!
And boy does it smart! Hey! Yow!

Ow Yooch Hot! Hot! Hot!
My biscuits are burnin'!
Hurry up and fade this thing out
Before I get heatstroke
YYYYEEEEEEEOOOOOWWWWWCCCCHHHH!!!!!

Johnnie and Rick--Together at last!

Pretty hot parody there, sunny-boy! You're gonna be a star for sure with this one! Your brilliance simply radiates from every line - 555 million helium fusion degrees.

Hey Rick - congratulations on your first number one parody!

Wheeee! Now I know how Steven Spielberg felt. Actually, my first 2 months here I didn't even know about the top ten and the messageboard and lots of other things, so it's no surprise it hasn't happened before. I'm actually far more proud of what we did, Johnnie. We will probable do another tribute, hopefully better, and include the people we missed before.

You've practically "eclipsed" (Ahhh, space humor, Orson! Okk Okk!) all your other parodies with this one. I love the original song, and you've got a parody here that begs for a video.
