The Lyrics

Nancy Pelosi once again calls someone or something she disagrees with un-American. As a veteran, I find this offensive. We fight for those who agree and disagree. We fight for those who love the flag and for the freedom for those to burn the flag. If anyone is un-American...
If tomorrow all freedom was gone
That I lived with all my life
And I had to be a rebel
And had to live each day in strife

Then of course I’d have to stand
And yell freedom for us all
‘Cause no hippy from San Francisco
Will our freedom recall

And I’m proud to be un-American
Just because I disagree
With the current speaker of the house
The Commi named Pelosi

And I gladly stand up
For you and defend your rights today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt we can dissent
It’s still the U.S.A.

Can we not enforce our laws?
Can we not disagree?
Can we not say big government
Is an attack on the free?

From Seattle to Miami
And New York to L.A.
We still have the right to call them out
Much to the Hill’s dismay

But if I am called un-American
Just because I disagree
By the current speaker of the house
The hippy named Pelosi

Then I’ll gladly stand up
Next to you and defend our rights today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt we can dissent
It’s still the U.S.A.

I’m so proud to be un-American
You can disagree with me
But I will still fight to the death
To make sure that you’re free

And I gladly stand up
For you and defend your rights today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt we can dissent
It’s still the U.S.A.
God bless the U.S.A.!
God bless Nancy Pelosi too. Don't think I'll be recording this.

What's stupid is that the Left (rightly, if you'll pardon the oxymoronic pun) criticized the Bush admin for doing the same thing -- calling anyone who disagreed (esp. with the Patriot Act -- what a name!) un-American. Where are all the votes for this? This is great! 555

because you're fairly new here, will commit the otherwise cheesy act of plugging my own song about how both Left and Right keep eating at our freedoms, if each for different reasons:

Don't forget to actually hit the vote buttons -- it's easy to forget, and happens all the time. But I *know* I hit mine, so... Cheers, TT.

First of all, thank you for your service to our once-fine country. Secondly, excellent parody about an issue that I'm afraid is going over the head of too many people. God bless the USA indeed, and God help us all. Good work.

Nancy Pelosi needs to take a bus trip from SF back to DC (instead of a private jet) and meet some real people in Flyover Land. My only quibble with pacing is 2 lines starting with "For you" lack 1 syllable. If TT can plug his work, so can I, especially since it's to the same OS, ~80s/leegreenwood13.shtml to warn on 01March08 of Obama's associates.
