A narrowcast jingoistic song
That’s becoming more rife
For a crew that doesn’t ken
Reasons for Revolution’s strife

Our founders fought a war
To chase tyranny away
Some don’t understand that freedom
Means we each go our own way
Ain’t told what to do or say
Ain’t forced to kneel down and pray

They pronounce that it’s America
That’s blessed by some deity
And if you ain’t standing by their side
Then it is heresy
They believe we must connect the two
Religion and the state
They want to take out
Who won’t grandstand:
“God blessed the USA!”

They ain’t taken time to open
Up the founding docs to see
There’s no mention of Jesus
Or Christianity

Pervert the Constitution
When their falsehoods they bray
They pile ’em on once they have got a start
Congress conmen that prey

They pronounce that it’s America
That is a blessèd country
But God’s not on any country’s side
His kingdom’s heavenly.
It’s the Christian Nationalist crew
That’s stirring up much hate
Thoughtless are the shouts
That many chant
Jingoistic clichés
