The Lyrics

Good morning, kids
Serving Number 1
Hungry today?
You want our buns?
We've got big ones now
How will you pay?
They got their nerve
Why'd they run away?

Box of one dozen
Now don't take too much in
Pack of apple fritters
To snack on at night
New danishes fresh today
Crème de menthe
Key lime and sweet rhubarb
It's all baked in

Welcome to the House Of Buns
Yes, we're all the rage
Welcome to the House Of Buns
Sugar glaze with cinnamon
Temptation served all day
Welcome to the House Of--

NNNow take a look at us
All my staff is grand
Goods rubbed by Roy
And glazed by Cousin Jude
And trayed by Nate
See the freshness date?
Stamped down by Harve
It's the hometown way

Welcome to the House of Buns
Yes they're all the rage
Loved by children, women, men
We pack' em in all day
Welcome to the House of (Buns)

I'm sorry, sir
But we don't show
Smarmy hijinks
In this shop
It's the House Of Buns
It's true named, not a pun
This is a baker's
Not a stripper club!

Pastry treats
Are only sold right here
Why do those crazy pervs come and
Walk in here?
I take out page-length ads
In the Pittsville Trib
Cut rate
Coupons you can clip
"Free shots of Joe on Saturday
From 8 to 4 except holidays"

Welcome to the House Of Buns
Hit the profits stage!
Welcome to the House of Buns
Glazed sugar and cinnamon
Temptation baked all day
Welcome to the House of Buns

Welcome to the House of Buns
Let cravings come uncaged
Welcome to the House of Buns
Yelper's scored it a big 10!
Hope more's on their way
Welcome to the House of Buns

Welcome to the House of Buns...

This is one of Madness's best songs. I liked this parody a lot and how the customer mistook it for a strip club

I was originally going to spoof this song, but then I remembered what their big hit was and I went with that. I also like the strip club mix-up...and I think that should have played a bigger part of it. Overall, this was a sweet treat of a parody.

(Artistry) Fairly decent parody despite the pacing stumbles, but I agree with Abbott that the strip-club mix-up should've been incorporated more, maybe made more innuendos in the preceding verses to make a sort of inverse of the original song (dirty thing disguised as innocent thing mistaken for said innocent thing becoming an innocent thing mistaken for dirty thing). Still 555 worthy, but a bit lacking in calories.

Expect to find the nannerpus from that breakfast commercial.

(Artistry) Simply fun. I think you could've found some more ways to expand on the topic (the strip club would've been a really fun way to do that.) As is, this is still a solid parody.
