The Lyrics

Don't you hate when you spend a bunch of movies to go to the movie theater and some jackass won't stop yelling at the screen?! Original Song
On a date with my girl, Jess
Horror films, I know are best
Girls hug tight when they get scared
Friday night’s alright for creeps
Lovely little date with me
We jump when things pop out!

“LOOK OUT! There’s a killer in the streets!
WATCH OUT! You teens better run far…”

Up front, some jerk is loud
He’s always yelling at the screen
And he acts like he helps out
“Why are you running ‘round!?
Killer’s dressed up like a clown
Why can’t you figure that out!?

“LOOK OUT!” What he’s yelling at the screen
“WATCH OUT! Oh girl, you are done for!”

“Get out! Please stop yelling at the screen!”
(I must tell you that you’ve got to stop yelling at them!)
“Get out! You are wrecking the film!”

We’re all fed up with this jerk
Always feels the urge to blurt
As if they can hear this fool
Passed annoyed...now we’re all pissed
“Killer is that neighbor kid!
Now run away!!”

“LOOK OUT! Right behind you he has sneaked!”
“GET OUT! Please stop yelling at them…”

Our date is clearly ruined
All because this assbag went
To this film and wreck everyone’s time
He crossed the line
“WATCH OUT FOR THE KNIFE!!”
I wanna go and leave this date
Twenty bucks already paid...
So I’ll stay
Deal with this ignoramus
Please save us!

Rest of us, already stressed
Sick and tired of this guys mess
He won’t shut up from angry stares...
Right behind him, we all creep
No one here will hear him scream
We’ll have silence now!

“My mouth! Get this duct tape off of me!”
“This crowd is all done with your yapping!
Get out!” As we trample with our feet
“Your mouth will ruin films no more!
Get out! you’re done yelling at the screen!
This crowd, why no one can hear you scream!
Your mouth has cost you so tragically!
Watch now! You’re dead like those on the screen!
Look out! You’re dead like those on the screen!

Actually "From YouTube", this was more inspired by the scene from Scary Movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sgwfvu6k0xs) ...not from any real events.

I think audiences have improved over the decades except for cell phone distractions. In the '70s-'90s people in my area used to yell at the screen and talk a lot. But part of that was cheering the Blockbusters and positive comments. I don't like youth movies or historical dramas though because the kids talk alot in the former and old people in the latter. I usually wait for those to be on Xfinity On-Demand. 555

Fortunately I never had this kind of trouble at a theater...but then, I never have seen a horror film inaside a theater.

How is that possible Agrimorfee? I remember in the '70s how mom told me and my brother not to see "The Exorcist" and we snuck in anway! Ironically, we never got caught slipping into horror flicks but got caught sneaking into "Foxes!" Are you telling us that you never liked horror films? The horror genre was booming in the '70s and '80s (Carpenter, Craven, Cronenberg, Hooper, etc...)!!!

Born in 1970, Rob. I like many horror films now...I have seen most of the "classics" you cite on cable, DVD, tv. It's just a genre that I really don't desire to go outside as much as others.

(Artistry) Funny how we both wrote parodies about audience reactions to this song. While I've never had to deal with a moron getting too caught up in the film, you painted such a vivid picture of this numbnut that by the end I wanted to jam his popcorn box in his noise-hole. Great parody here, 555!

It's the kind of thing people would go through while watching a movie in a theater. That and someone in front of you or behind spilling things on you.

I live in California, so now you have to worry about gunmen and racial crowds going crazy over portrayals of slavery and civil rights violations. Many of our theaters added security for films like "Fruitvale Station" and "Selma."

(Artistry) I have actually been in a horror movie when someone did this. It was Insidious: Part 2 and she happened to be a co-worker of mine (I discovered after the movie ended) so funny!
