ALL I HAD LAST CHRISTMAS WAS FLU

I won’t ask too much this Christmas,
Just because last year was bad.
When I think of all before it,
Was the worst I’ve ever had.
You can’t know the way it was,
But I’ll tell you now because
Crazy but it’s true,
All I had last Christmas was flu!

Oh, what I’d really like this Christmas
Open presents round a fire.
Playing games and singing carols,
Listening to a Heavenly choir.
Last year I was back at my home
Thinking how it used to be.
Wishing I was feeling better,
Stuck alone with my TV!

When I gave up smoking, nothing was the same.
I was growing grumpy and no-one ever came.
And though I’m not too wealthy, this year I’m feeling healthy,
Santa I can promise you a really good solution:
I’m going to make a New Year Resolution!
