The Lyrics

The UKIP is the United Kingdom Independence Party, a bunch of right-wingers with a single "protest" issue: to get the UK out of Europe. The ex-MP, ex-daytime TV presenter Robert Kilroy-Silk made a lot of noise joining them before the Euro-elections, and has endeared himself to the current leadership by claiming that nearly everyone who voted UKIP did so because of him, saying that the current leader is a puppet for Nigel Farage (the previous leader) and basically wanting to turn the whole show into the Kilroy-Silk appreciation party.
U.K.I.P. now a national force
So Kilroy-Silk - he wants to lead, of course
He has the right credentials, I see:
You'll know his face, he was on TV
Now he says they that they're badly led
And he'll replace U.K.I.P.-ness head
It's the first internal strife they've had
They fight themselves... maybe it's not all bad

U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row

Kilroy-Silk's ego is the most
For a bigoted, fired daytime TV-host
He thinks they polled well just 'cause he's there
But if he leaves - I bet no one will care
Self-serving serpent invited in
Do they need someone like that... to help them win?
Xenophobic, with narrow mind
Guess he should stay - they are two of a kind

U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row

With or without him, for them to win
Chances are quite remote
So chuck 'em all into history's bin
They ain't the way to vote

U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row
U.K.I.P. row

Who Can It Be Contestant - October 26, 2004 - Report this comment
Nice parody. Is this for the "Who Can It Be Now" contest? If so the rules stated that comments should be turned off so that no one can do any guessing on who the author is. Too bad the messageboard is down, that is where all the rules for the contest are. I also believe that submission day was suppossed to be Oct 28. Anyway, if you are entering with this, good luck.
