The Lyrics

Parody commissioned by "Skippy" and completed on 4/13/06
Luke's a good old boy
Tends the watering farm
Best you ever saw, but been wondrin' who he is
Since the day he was born

Bought him some droids
To help with the bills
Got a video message from a Princess, now he runs to the hills

Learnin' the Force
Is the way he will learn how
That he is destined for more than a Tatooine plow

Luke's a nice young boy
From the old neighborhood
Fightin' Darth Vader like a good Jedi Master should

Apologize all you want, you still get docked a point. Moonshine, hmpf! "Daisy Dukes," hmpf! A Jedi craves not these things.

I didn't see Artist Police knock YOU down a point for your "Monotonous" parody, pal. ;(

To use a profound phrase, "I like it".

this little piece of warped weirdness tore my brain a little

I like weird, 5s. (What's the big deal about an accidently putting in the wrong artist, it can happen to anyone)

Space Country? Must have come from Southern Space. 555.
Hey, wait a minute, I accidentally signed the wrong name. I'm Tommy Turtle! (MP, as you have told others, lighten up!)

I don't know "Skippy" but I KTOS and liked the way you twisted this. 555

"Lighten up," Tommy? I much prefer weighty parodies. ("I Burst At the Seams," "She's Gotta Weigh," "You May Be Light (I May Be Heavy)," "Hungry Young Man," and that's just from the Joel file!)

MP, thanks for being a good sport.

Clever and funny. I love Star Wars, but I'm all for poking fun at pop culture. I was going to point out that yes it was Waylon Jennings who did the song, but I see you caught it yourself, so never mind. Did anyone remember that Waylon Jennings also narrated every episode of the Dukes Of Hazzard? YEEEEHAAAAAAAW!!

Just a good ol' parody

Then that means Boss Hogg is in fact...

Short, sweet and to the point. Really able to summarize Star Wars pretty well here but not a whole lot of yuks since it was so short.

(Artistry) Pretty much on the same page as Matthias here. Wonder if you could've squeezed a bit more out if you went with the full version of the song like I did, but as this kinda ten years old, I can't ask for too much.

(Artistry) I felt the same as Matty and TCOP. It was a nice little overview of the Star Wars set-up but really lacking in laughs. I could see this being an actual theme to a Luke on the farm type sitcom.
Star Wars fan - November 24, 2016 - Report this comment
Truly pathetic. It's a moisture farm with vaporators, no plowing. The "harvest" was water as it was scarce on Tatooine. Uncle Owen bought the droids, not Luke. Luke didn't run to the hills, but went searching for R2 and then joined Kenobi to learn the Force and join the Rebellion. And Luke wasn't even a Jedi when he confronted Vader in Episode V. He didn't even know Vader was his father! Shows how dumb this parody was and how much dumber the commentators were. Learn the basics first!
Abbott Skelding - November 24, 2016 - Report this comment
Really nailed the "Star Wars as a Sitcom" type-theme here...and while I'm not big on Star Wars, the pacing was pretty solid and you did a pretty good job with this spoof.
