The Lyrics

Not about anyone in particular. Unless, you know, the shoe fits or something...

DKTOS
Pacing things well and using fancy words
Making stuff rhyme like gigantic nerds
If that’s the state of Amiright
There’s something wrong

Cause all the passersby admire me
As far as you all know I believe
But there is one thing I wanna say
This line don’t have to rhyme

I just wanna be the parody czar
Don’t really care how awful I are
I don’t give a crap that people get pissed
Just wanna make the top of the list

When I unleash a parody binge
The crickets chirp and I come unhinged
But my secret weapon is
Anonymity

Got all kinds of tricks up my sleeve
My fans are all make believe
And have I mentioned that
I don’t particularly care if there are way too many syllables in a given line just deal with it

I just wanna be the Amiright king
Don’t take away this toddler’s plaything
Must climb to the top of that list
I just wanna win the sh*tting contest

[Super mature fart noise solo]

I’ve been waiting, for this moment so long
And I’ve been dreaming you love me long time
Me so hahny alone with my parodies
Holy crap somebody pay attention to me

I just wanna be the parody pope
You say reality I say nope
I don’t give a damn cause I have no shame
Must share every thought in my brain

I just wanna be the parody wiz
Though I’m not sure what parody is
But I can fill out the form to submit
And make a gigantic pile of sh*t

I think you may have gotten your wish. You're at least a parody king or a parody pharaoh. Pacing was a little off though so 111s just kidding that wasn't me 555s

I get it. 'nuff said. 555

This is a joke, right?

I think I missed a conversation in the last few weeks :) Pretty funny, I enjoyed this. Now I'm off to take a parody wiz...

Thanks Jeff -- last few weeks? Try YEARS. Hint: the three comments above yours are by the same user, who thinks people can't tell it's him. He also leaves positive anonymous comments on his own parodies, since they suck ass and everyone ignores them. I usually try to ignore him myself, but sometimes it's fun to wind him up and watch him go

Probably the most in-joke parody in OWN so far (I was tempted to write an additional "Went to Matty for a snazzy new car", as the lines in my comment to him might reveal, but it still wouldn't have been as good as this). That said, "anonymity" could have been "barnonymity" for an extra pun.

Lol...I guess I miss stuff when I post once every two years :)

Thanks Peter! "barnonymity" -- good one! Though to be fair, the Barney stuff appears to have stopped, thanks to Chucky. And I could be wrong, but it seems like there's an overall reduction in quantity and *possibly* an increase in quality. I'd hate to accidentally say something nice about him, but if he is trying harder, I don't want him to think it's going unnoticed. Now if he'd just knock off the anonymous BS and learn to play well with others, we could all just get along. (I know, I know, but I can dream, can't I?)

? - yes it is & a good one too!

Kevin Woods - It's you, dumbass!

Mike Covolchek - ...and you, basement boy (+ your "parodies")

Say what? - Claude may never "be a leader of anything here" but I'd rather see one genuinely funny entry like this than several thousand poorly paced wastes of space. You could actually learn a lesson here but we all know you won't.

And finally...Claude - well done. Very funny. I used to post here years ago when we had a dozen+ entries per day that were worth reading. I gave up when the site became clogged with rubbish entries & endless spiteful diatribes aimed at anyone who pointed out that the pacing sucked, etc.

Thanks, EA! (Whoever you are - though I do have a guess). I hope you'll consider returning. C'mon, don't make me beg.

Claude, you rule! Too bad your efforts are submitted to a site's that's so neglected, unchecked and subverted that a few narcissistic Rain Men now run the show. You'd be better off starting your own site, one which requires reasonable accountability and vetting with a soupcon of expert curation---the cream of the crop would surely aspire to enter such a Pantheon of Parody!

The author of the parody has authorized comments, and wants YOUR feedback.
