The Lyrics

Don't you hate it when you fall and hurt yourself, and your friend just stares and laughs at you? That's what this song is about
Can you see me falling down the stairs tonight? It hurts
I have never felt so much pain in all my life; it hurts
Can you see me falling down the stairs tonight? It hurts
It hurts

Well, I tripped and I started falling
You didn't lend a hand
I see your face, and you're smirking
You look like I'm some kind of idiot
Well, you were there when you saw my big spill
You saw me with your own two eyes
So you can wipe off that grin, I bruised up my skin
Go get me a pack of ice!

Can you see me falling down the stairs tonight? It hurts
I have never felt so much pain in all my life; it hurts
Can you see me falling down the stairs tonight? It hurts
I have never felt so much pain in all my life; it hurts

Well I remember, I remember you laughing
How could I ever forget,
I started slipping, and tripping
I was a wreck
Sure, you try to act sincere and show me pity, but you don't fool me
I'm hurting like heck, I've broken my neck
Someone call 911 for me!

Can you see me falling down the stairs tonight? It hurts
I have never felt so much pain in all my life; it hurts
Can you see me falling down the stairs tonight? It hurts
I have never felt so much pain in all my life; it hurts

I think my favorite line was "Go get me a pack of ice". Well done.

Haha, that's where the whole song originated from, actually! From that one line! It actually started when I misheard "It's all been a pack of lies" and I thought it was "it's all been a pack of ice," so yeah, that's where I got the idea.

I tried to sing this song at karaoke last night (without knowing the words first) which was a HUGE mistake!!!!!- I laughed my way through it (go get me a pack of ice..), because as I was reading it, it reminded me of my own clumsiness. So funny!!!!
