The Lyrics

An intrepid explorer plumbs the murky depths of ancient mausoleums, incompetence be damned!
There's no need to worry, you're in quite capable hands
So stop all the cussin' about how I lost the ma-a-ap
What's the point in explorin' knowin' where you a-a-are?
This is the way, I feel it, I know that we'll get quite fa-ar
Fu-urther tha-an the-ese guys
The-ese corpse-es tha-at lie

Sure, you can call me crazy, but I will not stop
Because I'm not lazy, of that I'm fairly sure o-o-of
Tell me, would a slacker dude set off any tra-aps he finds
To make sure they can't kill him? I don't think so, cannot lie
I-In the wa-alls, I-I find
A-a switch a-and I-I'm like:
"I-I'm be-e-e-e-ettin' this mi-i-ight
Shoo-oot da-a-a-a-arts in my hind"

These mad catacombs
Are full of great dange-e-er
Great catacombs
My spirit won't wave-e-e-e-e-er
Dark catacombs, oh Lo-o-ord
I could be an explorer for life
Don't get your problem, dude

There's no need to hurry (oh-oh), can afford to take our time (oh-oh)
That big wall of sharp spikes (oh-oh) won't reach us, calm down, right (oh-oh)
I came here for these diamonds (oh-oh), think they should be wo-orth a ton (oh-oh)
Look at them, how they glisten (oh-oh), not the giant sco-orpions (oh-oh)
I-I swear we-e'll be-e fine
I-I-If you shu-u-u-ut u-up, right
The-e dea-ea-ea-ea-ead cannot ri-i-ise
Ma-an, wha-a-a-a-at smells? Oh, ri-ight

Man, these catacombs
Really fraught with dange-e-er
Weird catacombs
Defy laws of natu-u-u-u-u-ure
Sweet catacombs
Love for them is majo-o-or
Dark catacombs, oh Lo-o-ord
Swear I'll be an explorer for life
Which might not be long, true
Cause of all the dange-e-er
Dark catacombs
To them, I'm no strange-e-er
Sweet catacombs
It's just in my natu-u-u-u-u-ure
Love catacombs
I love all things ancie-e-ent
Like catacombs
May be just a range-e-e-e-e-er
Strange catacombs
Of the Boy Scout natu-u-ure
Old catacombs
And my only majo-o-or
Lost catacombs
Is in Entertainme-e-e-ent
Dread catacombs
I'll still face the dange-e-er
Love catacombs

Bravery? Or foolhardy...ness? You make the call!

I'm generally no fan of the stretch syllable technique, but here it works perfect and this depth-digger comes out on top!Ql

I really hate the OS, I can't deny it. Somehow though, this parody made it more enjoyable--the absolute truth that the singer sings about his passion for his work (in spite of the bad smell), combined with the production of the original that sounds like it was really recorded in the catacombs, was silly in a good way.

This parody was filled with adventure and excitement. I could see this scene in the next Tomb Raider/ Indiana Jones movie or next game of Uncharted.

Lets hope he didn't go to the one in Paris, now that would be an adventure.
