Original Song Title:

"Move Closer"

Original Performer:

Phyllis Nelson

Parody Song Title:

"Jane Austen"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Hey Janey
You write your way
Inspiring mine
But in the meantime

When I'm just fed up
Got a free weekend
And my library
Doesn't appeal

I sit reading
Pausing for laughter
Mary Bennet's
Badly playing

Jane Austen
Move your pen all across the paper now
With writing style I am in love
Ooh
Jane Austen
Move your pen all across the paper now
With writing style I am in love

I should read Emma
Still haven't read through
But I have read of Longbourn House
And Pemberley estate and
Delaford too

You write restrained passion
And such subtle humour
The love not smooth in Meryton
I fear

Jane
Jane Austen
Wrote such prose all through your work
With writing style I am in love
Ooh
Jane Austen
Wrote such prose all through your work
With writing style I am in love

Very well done indeed. I liked the way it flowed well even though I don't personally know Jane Austen or read her novels. Im sure she will be proud to read your parody though!
