The Lyrics

I feel somewhat guilty turning such a sad song written by R. Waters about the death of his father into an insipid paordy about shopping, but oh well...no harm intended ;)This details the event of Black Friday morning sales...the time set in the story, itself, is present day.
It was just before dawn,
One miserable morning, on a Black Friday
When the cold, camped-out people
Formed into a line
Ready to throw their money away
And the owner gave thanks
The people in ranks,
Dug so deep into their banks, for their cash
And that Black Friday morning, saw a drop in price
All of the shoppers thought it was so nice

A stocked-up Best Buy, unlocked it's doors
When they all grew restless outside
They were, I assume, all acting like loons
Out of bed far too soon
And they rammed the doors down
In a rush of mad trampling, making their way
And the asiles were all filled, with these shoppers
For any good bargain these people would kill

It was crowded as hell
Things flew off of the shelves
When the shoppers broke free
And someone got floored
When the crowd rushed in and went damn near crazy
They were all in a rush
Most of them rude, and all of them hurried
And that's how these Friday sales
Drive us into...frenzies

OMG, Chris! I had toyed with the idea of doing "Tigers" as a companion piece to my Wall parodies, but never had the heart to, knowing full well the extent of Water's feelings for it. You evidently have no heart...Just kidding! This was quite funny, so you get another 555, you bastard.

Roger Waters' dad may also have been killed being trampled by shoppers if he wasn't serving his country. You never know. This was real funny! 555

Yes, yes, I do feel pretty bad about doing this one...I almost didn't...but in the long run, it's all just in good fun, and the idea seemed interesting to me, so I went ahead and did it. Guilt or not, (and I'll say - ther most definatley is!) I can at least now move on and be done with this one. But thanks for the comments, and the 555s my friends ;)

Well, I have learned here that no song is parody-proof...people have lambasted sacred cows like "Imagine", "We Are The World" and the like with some degrees of success.
