Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

You know you never
You never talk the way you should
That's why I never understood
What you wanted
But you know six digits of pi
3.14159
And sin and cosine
Slope of a line

You know I never
I never see you go out late
You grab a book and concentrate
On chemistry news
And you know atomic weights
The weight of CO-2
Don't want to breathe you

Cause baby we'll be
At the library
In the chemistry hood
Behind the bookcase
Till I can't study no more
In the physics lab
Lock the classroom door
And baby
Talk nerdy to me!

You know I call you
I call you on the telephone
You're searching Genbank for some clones
I love to hear you
When you say those words to me
e equals mc
I gotta hear you

Cause baby we'll be
At the library
In the chemistry hood
Behind the bookcase
Till I can't study no more
In the physics lab
Lock the classroom door
And baby
Talk nerdy to me!

Pick up that textbook and talk to me!

Cause baby we'll be
At the library
In the chemistry hood
Behind the bookcase
Till I can't study no more
In the physics lab
Lock the classroom door
And baby
Talk nerdy to me!

Thought I'd missed this when it came out, but since it didn't add the vote on I guess I must have voted for it already, just not commented... comments: Love it :-) BTW, CO2 doesn't have an atomic mass, but its molecular mass would be 44...

lmao...that's great! one thing though...where's the "squared" on "e equals mc"? ;-) Still...gave you 5's all around. :)

Doh! I can't believe you're the first person to notice that (or at least point it out)

(ABC) I can see Christina Aguilera in a revealing lab coat, clipboard in hand as she gyrates to her video clip of 'Nerrdy'. This was a true gem!
Paul Robinson - October 17, 2004 - Report this comment
(ABC "T") Clever stuff, Jeff...DKTOS on the OS here, but you captured the essence of "Nerdity" in the read. So building on Jake's comment I guess if Christina Aguilera did this parody in a video there would be a lot of "On-Screen Nerdity"...hmmm...that was a long walk I just made for the slight sip of humor, wasn't it?

ABCs...way to take me back to my grade school days with the original! I used to have a total crush on C.C. DeVille...(talk about shameful admissions!)

5s, Jeff.

(ABC) The indubitably humorous essence of this lyircal composition has doubtlessly led my oral musculture to positiion itslef upwards. A triumvirate of Roman Numeral V's

(ABC) This cracked me up, because for some rodd reason the whole time I was reading it I was picturing one of our MB members singing it to one of our other MB members. And suddenly 2 became 2 cubed... ;-)

That's awesome me and my boyfriend were going to make one but I wanted to see if anyone else did yet. This one is my favorite my type of nerd joke. I wish it was a music video though. :/

(Ages) Great parody and nerdy as can be, but in a good way. 5s.

BTW, kind of off-topic here, but Jeff, did you ever sing my cigarette parodies to your coworkers? How did they like them?
Christie Marie M - September 23, 2011 - Report this comment
(Ages 2) At first I couldn't remember the song from way back, until I heard the familiar tune that I used to hear on the radio as a kid. As for the parody, wow, I love how you talk intelligent! I can't keep up with other nerds when I went to middle school and high school. Well, here I could incorporate, emulsify, compound, 3 units of 5's. That's as nerdy as I could go..
Matthias - September 24, 2011 - Report this comment
This one is an ancient one by you that's why you didn't vary the choruses but it was still pretty funny although I'm sure there's a better sub for "neighborhood" than "chemistry hood" (which really doesn't make that much sense) and any nerd knows it's "e equals mc squared" but other than that it's a pretty dandy parody you wrote here.
Abbott Skelding - September 25, 2011 - Report this comment
Love this classic, would have liked to see the choruses changed up, but even when they are the same- excellent job!
Blaydeman - October 19, 2011 - Report this comment
(AofA) Oh the imagery that this song has put into my head is hysterical! You should make a music video of this! It would be great! 555!

(Ages) Holy balls, 2002? No wonder the choruses are the same! I echo Matthias' comments, but still this is pretty good for a nine-year-old parody. 5's for you, sir!
Arwen - October 20, 2011 - Report this comment
AGES...I 5'd this once a long time ago...still love it. It's so Weird Al-y to me...he must have learned everything he knows from you, Jeff! Haha...
