The Lyrics

I hope you know what it's about.
Ooh, a- Let's go!

You've just written a parody
And think that it's pretty good.
So you submit it to AmIRight
And hope that it's understood.
The next day as you look at the site
You just can't believe your eyes.
And the horror spreads across your face,
You got an unpleasant surprise.

A vote from Anonymous
A vote from Anonymous
Yes, he gave you a one
He gave you a one.
A vote from Anonymous, yeh.
Hey, we're gonna catch you soon.
A vote from Anonymous.

How do you think we're gonna get credit
When you're giving us all ones?
You rated down every song that I made
My average looks like junk
Are you happy, are you satisfied?
Why did you do this to me?
Nobody else thinks it's amusing-a
Well, maybe your buddies. Look out!

A vote from Anonymous
A vote from Anonymous
Yes, he gave you a one
He gave you a one.
A vote from Anonymous, yeh.
Hey, we're gonna catch you soon.
A vote from Anonymous.

Hey! Oh, vote one! "Nonymous! "Nonymous, yeah!
Hey! A vote from Anonymous, A vote from Anonymous, ow!
A vote from Anonymous, hey hey! A vote from Anonymous,
Hey, ey, ey, ey, ey, ey.

There are many ways to disgrace a man
And make him break a frown.
You could bash "im, you could trash "im, you could hurt "em bad.
Or just gibe him some ones, yeh.
But we're ready- yes, we're ready for you,
Someday, we're gonna catch you soon!
One of these days, when you decide to submit,
We'll give you ones, you buffoon! Oh yeah-ah.

A vote from Anonymous
A vote from Anonymous
Yes, he gave you a one
He gave you a one.
A vote from Anonymous, yeah.
Hey, we're gonna catch you soon.
A vote from Anonymous.

Showdown! Yeah All right!

Well, I've had anonymous votes of all types from 1s to 5s and while they may lower/raise your average what's important are the comments. Since 1s go unexplained/uncommented about 99.5% of the time they aren't anything to worry about. If you get a comment to the effect of 'ever hear of pacing or humor?-111' that's an indication that your parody truly sucks. I wouldn't unobomb the 1s person's parody though (if such a thing were ever submitted or could be proven), retaliation votes are petty.

Thanks for the vote (Assuming you're someone who votes and leaves comments. Also, I agree with what you said. The last sentence about retaliating was .. well, I was at a loss of what to write.

well said Dominic. I know I'm certainly not one of the best parody writers on this site, but I do ok, and I've had that happen to me too, even when I knew the pacing was good on my parodies. 555

You're so really right... I had a straight ones without comment on my song and I've only had five songs...Hey, I also had no votes on one...Does that mean it really really truly honestly unexplainatory but actually Sucks??? Well if anyone knows tell me...Nice song too 555

Thanks ^ and ^^. There's a person(S) who comes on here and seems to give random people straight ones just for his/her own amusement. Doesn't mean you have a bad song, just you were unlucky enough to be voted by them.

I've had this also irrespective of the parody standard... I just pity them that their lives are even sadder than mine! ;-) 555 Good one

Looks like he did Dominic. I take these monsters with a grain of salt, after all a vote is a vote. It's the comments I'm after. Good job 5's

555, I agree, I like feedback with or without the votes(regardless of the rating they give me). Sometimes the ones who give higher votes probably don't have anything to say(which is understandable, I at least let them know the vote, even if I don't have much to say in comment, to let them know I voted). I tend to think that the 111 voters need to leave comments, to let the person know why they didn't like it, after all it helps to know(especially for an author like me, who part of the time makes parodies that take alittle bit of an aquired taste to really like). But most low voters just like to drop the score and try to PO the author, so I don't feel they're the types with any real courage.

The author of the parody has authorized comments, and wants YOUR feedback.
