The Lyrics

Original Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYHxGBH6o4M
She's a very holy girl
She’ll try to warn you ‘bout the rapture
You will never see her spirit down
Helping people on the street, oh God

She’s got the Bible in hand
She’s always talking ‘bout her savior
And on Sundays, she’s at church and she’s right on time
She’s always shunning me
Oh geez

That girl is pretty lame now (A super Jesus freak)
I’ll see if I can help her out (So she’s not so extreme)
I know it will be tricky (She’s such a Jesus freak)
I really want to help her (So she’s not so sweet)

Friday night, Friday night
She’ll see the light
With me, yeah
Hey, hey, hey-heeeey

She's a Jesus freak, Jesus freak
She's super preachy, ugh!
Everybody knows
Jesus freak, Jesus freak

Took her to a whole new world
(The world that she was warned about)
Where some guys dress up like females
(She wants to flee, ow!)
At a place that’s called The Birdcage, and she’s nervous
It is quite a scene
(I tell her to just calm down)

“Mother” Superior is here (with rosaries)
Her knees are shaking and he’s waiting
When she arrived, there’s frankincense, myrrh and candles
It's such a holy scene

Now all she does is thank me (Once was a Jesus freak)
For showing her this Heaven (Has a new trinity)
She loves the fall of man now (Now she’s just a freak)
She has her own disciples (Causes quite a scene)

She's all right, she's all right
She saw the light
Oh geez, yeah
A-A-Amen!

Was a Jesus freak, Jesus freak
Now she’s just freaky, yow

Hear angels sing!
[Church choir singing] Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oooooh
Jesus freak, Jesus freak
Once was a Jesus freak
[Church choir singing] Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oooooh

She's a very different girl
Once was the girl you brought to mother
God’s not the only one all around
Not praying when she’s on her knees

Hail Mary!

Although many might find the lyrics offensive, every parodist should be able to make fun of everything. You have every right, and I don't have to agree to everything here b/c AIR is for song parodies. Judging the song and not the person is what it's all about. 555 Sir!!!

You heathen, Abbott, you! Take penance of 555 lashings!

(ABC) This was pretty good, but it lacked a certain something. I dunno, maybe if you'd had the switch from preachy to freaky happen closer to the end, maybe if there was a twist that she was always a freak, just not in public, I'm just throwin' ideas out. Still pretty enjoyable, though, take these 5's from this Jesus Freak (in the sense that I'm a Christian and I'm kinda sorta completely weird for reasons entirely separate to the first point)!

(ABC) This was a whole lotta fun, Abbott. Perfect pacing, super easy to sing with, and the topic fit perfectly with this original song (loved the title change!). You fit as much as you could into this song, and the structure didn't help you very much, but I commend you. The Angel Choir at the end really made me smile, just picturing it make me laugh. Nice work! 555 Hail Maries to atone for your sins.
