"Writer's Block (fixed)"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Fixed!
I'm in a very freaky world
The kind you won't go in to wonder
It will never let you get things done
Soon you'll get it off your head, my world

I spoof lyrics on amiright
I never had a all-time favorite
Then I made my move to the light
Frozed the wrong time
It's really hard to break

Oh, no
I couldn't write anything now
(The block's a mental block)
The kind of block that f**ks you up
(Can't write a f**king line)
My hand is pretty shaky
(Thanks to a writer's block)
I've become really flaky
(Under lots of heat)
I can't write, I can't write
I cannot write
Help me, damn
Hey, hey, hey-heeeey

It's a writer's block, writer's block
It's writer's blocky, ow

Everybody sing
Writer's block, writer's block

In a very awful world
(What kind of world you want to know?)
In my head there's nothing inside
(Nothing inside, yeah)
And it'll follow me through the day
With it's torments
In a living room
(Going back to Lazytown)

It's not something to be proud of
(Naranja piel)
Rule 34, it's disgusting
When it popped in I went insane
Whined and broke down
It's such a freaky scene

My world is very freaky
(My world's f**king weak)
The kind of world you'd read about
In Lovecraft's novella
My world's pretty messed up now
"My world's f**king weak)
I really want to break it
('Cause it'll never fit)
It's not right, it's not right
It's just not right
Damn it, yo
Hey, hey, hey-heeeey

Got a mental block, mental block
Got mental blocky, whoa

Repentance stings
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oooooh
Writer's block, writer's block
A case of writer's block
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oooooh

It's a very freaky world
The kind you don't go in to bother
It will always keep your spirits down
Once you get it off your head

Finally!
The source tends to screw you over.

I've been working on this one parody, however, I'm still getting writer's block. 5's!

When all else fails, go to the writers block song :-) One of your longer ones, I thought it was good.

SOTM...nothing cures writer's block like writing about writer's block. I know. I've been there. Nice job...glad you got past it!

Max, Nothing like being "the first one on your block". Hope this cured you. The write paced well to the OS. Fine write here.

(SOTM) I have no idea what the second verse had to do with the rest of the song. Seriously, it was a very jarring skip from 'I hate writer's block' to 'I hate the entire world'...very confusing. Pacing was good though.

I think I have Leave-a-comment-writer's-block... ;-P

This was OK, but I did get the feeling you were kind of out of ideas.. or was that the effect you were trying to get?
Max Power - November 30, 2009 - Report this comment
Little bit of both.

I liked your use of 'frozed'...
Porfle Popnecker - September 23, 2012 - Report this comment
I liked how you were able to work the concept of "writer's block" into a song about writer's block.
Peregrin - September 24, 2012 - Report this comment
W/X: I can relate to your concept, Max. I like it. As an aside, I always thought Rick James was kinda freaky himself.

I was going to write something clever, but I just can't think of anything right now.

(ABC) See above...I still don't know what Lazytown and Rule 34 have to do with writer's block.

I'm glad you overcame it for this occasion. My favorite line: "(The block's a mental block)"
Abbott Skelding - September 26, 2012 - Report this comment
Gotta agree with bobpiecheese about the second verse, but other than that it was pretty good.
Matthias - September 26, 2012 - Report this comment
At least you were able to get rid of your writer's block with this pretty fun parody.
Blaydeman - September 27, 2012 - Report this comment
(ABC) Oh yeah! We all know what that's like! Man oh man! This was really funny, a bit simplistic, but funny none the less. And I L-O-V-E the OS!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorites.
