The Lyrics

Yes, about bubble baths!
Your faucet's on, and you're at home
You want to take a bath
Your tub fills, but no spills
Then you fill it up with bubble bath
You get ready, the tubs filled with bubbles
There's no doubt, water's deep
Don't pull the plug, feel that heat
The bubbles will make you clean
Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the suds, oh yeah
It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough, you
know you're gonna have to face it, you're addicted to suds
You see the foam, all on your feet
Shower's runnin' at no speed
For stinky feet, it's bubble time
You're all foamy, but you don't care
You're almost clean
When get out of the tub
Put the towel on now
You get back when you do
Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the suds, oh yeah
It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough, you
know you're gonna have to face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Your faucet's on, and you're at home
You want to take a bath
Your tub fills, but no spills
Then you fill it up with bubble bath
Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the suds, oh yeah
It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough, you
know you're gonna have to face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds
Might as well face it, you're addicted to suds

Good one, Jack, on a song that's been parodied a lot. Squeaky clean, too. Since you asked for comments and suggestions, I'll offer this: take another look at your line breaks to adjust pacing a little better. Compare this "Addicted to Suds" to my own parody by the same name and you'll see what I mean. Shorter lines give the reader less work to do in deciding what words get what emphasis. It's just a personal preference of mine--I hope you don't feel I'm overstepping the bounds here. I just noticed that you and I have similar themes and influences, so I want to help out if I can. I'll be sure to check out more of your stuff, and thanks for your feedback on my work. d;:^)

I am sure I saw this at the time, but I see no comments....I thought this was very original, Jack

Yay! Bubble baths! Maybe it's the line breakup, but the pacing seemed a bit off for me. Overall, great parody!
John Jenkins - April 04, 2004 - Report this comment
Good parody. I think it needs more rhymes.

Jack - Here to wish you well on the "A" round of the ABC competition. This is still 5 material.

very silly and funny parody

Some pacing issues, but good overall, and you did a clean sweep of a song that's been done many times before, so props on that.
Claude Prez - April 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Yeah, what John said. More rhymes would help a lot but still not bad.

Jack W - pace I wee bit too far off but I liked it - 4-5-5

Hey Jackie! I'm with Bob Frickin' Gomez on line breaks - they make the parody more visually attractive and easier to read. My favorite line: "For stinky feet - it's bubble time." Heh heh.
