The Lyrics

I really hate this song. Glad to be making fun of it.
Gas goes up, and poop goes down
I twist that pipe wrench
Round and round
Round and round, clothespin on nose
Sometimes drop it on my toes

No one likes to call my name
But when there is a clogged up drain
They call me when need is dire
Crap to elbows, and my fee gets higher

(I am) I am a plumber
Aren't many jobs that are dumber
(I am) I am a plumber
I am a plumber

The water's hot, the pressure's high
I make a gaffe; it's in my eye
Now I'm burnin', my boots are filled
For every ouch, you will be billed

(I am) I am a plumber
Aren't many jobs that are dumber
(I am) I am a plumber
I am a plumber

I feel anger when I strip a thread
Under the houses, I bop my head
Bloody knuckles, I spit and curse
It's payday so it could be worse

I'm all finished, sink works right
I know the U-joints sealed tight
Just when I think I'm gonna get away
I find the bathroom is full of spray

(I am) I am a plumber
Aren't many jobs that are dumber
(I am) I am a plumber
I am a plumber

Every time I have to bend
I show my customers the end
An old joke, I'm just wise-crackin'
Must have humor, when seeing pipes full packin'

Gas goes up, and poop goes down
I twist that pipe wrench round and round
Gas goes up, and poop goes down
I twist that pipe wrench round and round
Gas goes up, and poop goes down
I twist that pipe wrench round and round

Didn't like this one as much as usual, Rick... maybe it's just 'cause I'm not a fan of this song, either ;-) - an alternative last verse sprang to mind (though the "wise-crackin'" joke was a goodie):
Every graze, each knuckle split
Each time I end up eating s**t
You think I'm dumb, and maybe it's true
But you're paying so the joke's on you...

Funny, I like the original and I like yours, too. (though strangely it isn't on your highest standards--maybe it was because of the material--545)

I thought the wisecrack inyourendo was funny stuff. Good one. As everyone else is casting dispersions on the original, I will say "It's neither here nor there for me".

When I saw the parody title "I Am A Plumber" I was half expecting there will be the old plumbers crack joke in it, and after reading the parody I certainly wasn't disappointed. This parody is bloody hilarious and the plumbers crack bit makes it even funnier, I give ya all 5s. I admit I like the original too as I'm a fan of retro music of the 70s and early 80s, but your parody is a real cracker hahahaha!!!!
