The Lyrics

I’VE JUST CALLED TO SAY I’VE LEFT YOU

No words can say what must be said,
The wheels of fate are turning round inside my head.
No time to stall,
We’ve seen it all,
But time for me to go where angels fear to tread.

No joy for me, no last reprieve
I tried to stay but now I’ve found it’s time to leave.
I’m sad you know, but I must go,
I did my best for you, I hope you will believe.

I’ve just called to say I’ve left you.
I’ve just called to say a last goodbye.
I’ve just called to say I’ve left you.
But you will never know how much you broke my heart.

We had good times, as well you know,
And so it makes it very hard for me to go.
But now I find our love was blind
And over time I saw that it was all a show.

No comfort here, no more to say,
There’s nothing you can do to make me want to stay.
It’s time to fly, no time to cry,
And by the time you hear this I’ll be miles away.

I’ve just called to say I’ve left you.
I’ve just called to say a last goodbye.
I’ve just called to say I’ve left you.
But you will never know how much you broke my heart.

I’ve just called to say I’ve left you.
I’ve just called to say a last goodbye.
I’ve just called to say I’ve left you.
But you will never know how much you broke my heart,
Broke my heart…broke my heart…

If this is personal, then OK. If going for some sort of funny "I'd just text to say I’ve left you" or "I’d just tweet to say we're shagged through" would have been a better title slash starting point...

so close ! the last line of verse 1 - you could have used something like. "But it's time for me to make that dreaded call" For context I would have switched Vrs 1 & 2, but that's just me !
