The Lyrics

This refers to 3 "Sesame Street" segments with Kermit in it that I remember, all of which he got hopping mad in!
Verse 1: Sometimes I try to have people do things for me and I just get really angry at them
It's like one time I tried to figure out why the Count wouldn't stop at the 7th floor, and
so said, "Hey Count, could you take me to the 7th floor", and he said "Yes" But he
started counting all the floors from 1 to 10. I tried to stop him but he said, "Kermit, I'll
feel a lot better if I count all the floors", And I said "No Count, I don't want you to do
that, just leave me alone and get me to the 7th floor!" But then he counted DOWN
the floors from 10 to 1. And he kept bugging me and bugging me and then he told
me to just take the stairs instead!!

So I hopped upstairs to the 7th floor
But by that time I couldn't take it anymore
I didn't have any say
Because the Count just wanted it that way!

I'm not crazy (You're supposed to take me to the 7th flo-o-o-r-r!!)
He's the one who's crazy (You're supposed to take me to the 7th flo-o-o-r-r!!)
He's drivin' me crazy! (You're supposed to take me to the 7th flo-o-o-r-r!!)

They sent me here to Sesame Street
But now I'm feeling really beat
And I'm so tired of giving into
All these demands that people are putting me through...

VERSE 2: I was going to The Wonderful World of T-Shirts and I ask the salesman for a Kermit
the Frog T-shirt, but the salesman has a T-shirt for Kermit the "Gorf" instead and I
didn't even know he was there, so I say to the salesman, "You've made some kind
of mistake!", but the salesman says "I never make mistakes", and I say "How can
you say you never make mistakes, I'm Kermit the Frog F-R-O-G and that says
Kermit the Gorf G-O-R-F!" So then he gives a T-shirt to Kermit the "Forg", and
then finally to Kermit the "Grof", and I say "I want my Kermit the Frog T-shirt now!"
and the salesman is clueless so I start screaming "My name is Kermit the Frog and
I want my Kermit the Fro-o-o-o-g-g-g T-shirt!!!" All I wanted was a Kermit the Frog
T-shirt and he wouldn't give it to me. Just one Kermit the Frog T-shirt!!

He wouldn't give me that T-shirt
Now I'm feeling really hurt
That salesman was just too gosh darn lazy
How could he say that I went crazy?!

I'm not emotional (I want my Kermit the Fro-o-o-o-o-g-g T-shirt!!)
He's the one who's emotional (I want my Kermit the Fro-o-o-o-g-g T-shirt!!)
(Salesman's voice): "There's no need to get emotional." (I'm not emotional!!)

They sent me here to Sesame Street
But now I'm feeling really beat
And I'm so tired of giving into
All these demands that people are putting me through.

Verse 3: I was directing "Oklahoma", and Forgetful Jones kept goofing up all the lines
So I pulled up my director's chair and said:
"Forgetful, I think you're having some problems memorizing you're lines;
you're not supposed to say 'A-klahoma', it's supposed to be 'O-klahoma'."
So he tries again, but this time he says "E-klahoma", and then "I-klahoma"
And he said, "Did I get it right this time?"
And I said, "Forgetful, you did it again!! This time you sang 'I-I-I-I-klahoma'!!!
'A-klahoma'? 'E-klahoma'? 'I-klahoma'? No, Forgetful I told you it's O-klahoma!!!"

I just can't fix Forgetful's brain
He'll always be such a pain
By the time he gets the right line
It'll be finishing time!

I'm not crazy (I-I-I-Klahoma!!)
He's the one who's crazy (I-I-I-I-Klahoma!!)
He's driving me crazy!! (I-I-I-I-Klahoma!!)

They sent me here to Sesame Street
But now I'm feeling really beat
And I'm so tired of giving into
All these demands that people put me through!!

Sheesh! One of these days I'll be on the Muppet Show, anyway.
