The Lyrics

This is a song about a very special British sports car, called the Sunbeam Tiger. It was engineered by Carroll Shelby, of Cobra, Dodge Shelby Charger and GT Mustang fame, with a Sunbeam Alpine (MGB-sized two-seat sports car with 1957 Chevrolet- or 1957-58 large Studebaker design elements) as its base. It was built by Rootes Motors of Great Britain with a Ford small-block V-8 and Ford 4-speed manual transmission, was known as "the poor man's Cobra" for obvious reasons and was dropped in 1968 after the Chrysler takeover and Mother Mopar's understandable refusal to use a Ford engine in one of its products and because the Plymouth Barracuda 273ci V-8 wouldn't fit. The Tiger looks like an ordinary British sports car, but isn't, thanks to its Ford V-8, thus adding the potential for deceit. P.S.: I HATE HONDAS, AND TUNER CARS, REGARDLESS OF MAKE!
Revvin' up, back on the street, took some time for restoration
Spent many months, now she's back on the street
Just a man and his mechanic skill
So many times, it happens too much
You trade your hot rod for a Honda
Don't waste your money on a Fiat X1/9 piece of crap
You must drive a Poor Man's Cobra to keep your mind alive
------------------------Chorus----------------------------------------------------------

It's my Sunbeam Tiger, it's the thrillingest ride
Rising up to the challenge of the tuner car
And the '66 Sunbeam Tiger beats the tuners on the track
And I'm beatin' em all with the power of the Tiger

Sunbeam body, small Ford V-8, seats for two, oddball styling
Tuner cars are the norm, yet I take to the street
For the kill, with the power to deceive
------------------------Chorus-----------------------------------------------------------

Revvin' up, to the red line, it's got the guts, it's got the styling
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his Poor Man's Cobra

-------------------------Chorus----------------------------------------------------------

Is "thrillingest" really a word? I'd appreciate a comment.
