Parody Song Title:

"Apple on the Fritz"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Apple has an interesting relationship with it's devotees, even if one of their products is clearly flawed. BTW, I use Apple products daily, but not the iPhone.
Phone you choose
And don’t you know
Signals fall through
You paid the dough,
There’s no transmit
Apple on the fritz

Trendy types
In Birkenstocks
Squeeze it tight
A call is lost,
But they look hip
Apple on the fritz.

Gadget grabbing guys and gals’ll show ya:
“Least they don’t have problems like Toyota.”
(got no mo-tah)

Jobs will nix
He’s such a player
Balks at fix
No soft-a-ware
Is in the mix
Apple on the fritz

“Here’s our case,” he says to you.
“Other phones will do it too.
Grab the broadcast in the air
Drop the callers anywhere.”

“Bad rap,” say Apple zealots
“Please wack, or use a mallet.”

Gizmo most devine
For-a some of the time

Apple blues
But stocks’ll rise
Top brand too cool
Eyes covet ‘I’s
Smooth market lips
Apple on the fritz

Trendy types
In Cupertino
Adverhype
A shiny show
They’re makin’ hits
Apple on the fritz

Dee-vice divas shouting out “I wanna!”
Longing for that trip to techno-vana.
(Palm o’ drama)

Adam knew
In garden old
A brand of fruit
The serpent sold
Just can’t resist
Apple on the fritz.
More tributes to products I don't have at the Blogging Baker.

Kind of surprised I haven't seen this scene skewered yet. Maybe it's because we all own Blackberries! Thanks Mark and Ann.

BabyRuth- Thanks for the comment. I was a little afraid some of the references would be a little obscure. Came very close to footnoting.
OMR- Bad indeed. It's nice to remember Jobs provides a lot of jobs overseas. We could move to China!
JB- Thanks for the fruity v/c. And now I know what pome means...thanks for adding to the vocabulary!
JR- Could you speak up? I hear Sprint has a pretty good network, then again, AT&T has the dubious....tion....big....cra....sad. I'm sure you agree.
AE- Glad you liked it, auntie. Recieved it loud and clear!

Great parody--I especially love your Adam & Eve twist at the end.

Thanks, Mason. I knew I wanted to incorporate 'creation' in there somewhere. Glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, I own and use an Apple to write and post my parodies here. And why Steve Jobs would be so stupid to want the best of both worlds in computers (which should never be true) it's like buying a car and getting half a car and half a bicycle. I'll never know! But anyways very very well done with this parody. I did a parody of this song not too long ago called "Mr. Fix it" if some of your remember. and it's not an easy song to do, so you definitely have my 5-5-5 vote!!

555 - The way you nailed the pacing was impressive. I would like to write a parody of this caliber someday.

WCJ- As I write this, I'm typing on a Mac Pro running Windows 7. Nice computer, to be honest. And I'm always willing to compliment their products, but I sense a tad arrogance creeping in to Cupertino. Thanks for v/c's, and I'll look up your Mr. Fix It song. And you're quite right, this is really tough to get the cadence correct...gave it my best shot.
JS- Thanks for noticing the pacing. Like I said above, it's pretty tough to write to. Truthfully, I wrote it, and it sat for a week because I got stumped on the pacing. Glad I let it rest for a while cos I really think it made the difference with the rewrite. I truly appreciate your gracious compliment, JS. Thank you!
