Parody Song Title:

"Crazy Love for Splinters"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The Termites are coming BEWARE
Climb, Climb, Climb
Because I need to eat

(Termites Rocking Out!)

Climb, Climb, Climb
We really love your trees
We love your new house
We'll have a feeding spree
We are far worse than fleas

Hear the sound
Ate the town
As you cried
It's our Crazy love for splinters!

All the food that you eat is bland
Don't really like wood fried
We would rather sprawl and hide
and eat your Big Grand
We will turn it into sand

Chowing down
Can't be drowned
Though you'll try
It's our Crazy Love for Splinters!

Don't call Terminix my friend
We don't want to leave today
Can we work something out, Okay?
Please comprehend
We must eat to be living

Tent surrounds
See a guy
With one swipe
And I'm scrambling for my life

So I guess that you disagreed
and you bought their damn guarantee
But you still can't get rid of me

(Solo Termite Grows his Rocking Army)

We'll rebound
Make no sound
Never die
Fill our Crazy Love for Splinters!

Yes I vow
That somehow
I will eat your house, time to chow

Like a cow
Chews the ground
We shall be avenged, I avow!

You ask how?
Look around
When you leave, we'll tear chew house down!

Hazy Shade of Winter was originally written and performed by Simon and Garfunkel.

Yeah we know, and we don't care.

Thank you "F the Police", and to "The Parody Police", I intentionally parodied the Bangles version, I am not a fan of the Simon & Garfunkel version, sorry if that offends you. It is perfectly acceptable to parody a cover version instead of the original.

Good companion piece for Roaches - a parody of Rumors from the '80's.

Thanks everyone, one slight correction *The word "Tear" in the last paragraph was added by accident, I guess when I corrected it I forgot to delete it when I changed it to "Chew"

I was confused on that last line... But all in all it was an Awesome parody! A great idea! A great original song (Don't like the Simon and Garfunkle version myself to tell you the truth), and it was an amazing title sub with an even more amazing parody.

(Artistry) Clever idea. I don't get the "Tent surrounds" stanza.

(Artistry) Fortunately I never had to have my house fumigated under a tent, but I did have to get the in-ground treatment. Fun idea and title sub.

(Artistry) Well, whattya know - BAD does parody about ants, then a long time later, he does termites! What's next for ya, bees? Roaches? Brilliant work yet again, Dave.

Thanks guys:) And actually TCOP, you aren't going to believe this, but both of those little critters have parodies in the works about them as well (bug's lives are fun topics and we've all had to deal with them)

(art) ha! hilarious - loved it Dave - another Bangles OS I like (yes, I know, S and G did the original...- okay) but your brilliant title sub ripped it to pieces - 555
