The Lyrics

According to a recent CNN online poll, over 60 percent said they
weren't happy with this year's choice of presidential candidates.
This is for them...
Our troops they try their best, I know
But terrorists just want to blow
I see Kerry and Bush and pine
For leaders from a former time
Neither's a candidate of note
Should I stay at home or vote?

Their ads are sleaze, sleaze, sleaze
They will say anything they please
If Bush says white, Kerry says black
A real debate I fear we lack
Now I don't want to rock the boat
But should I stay at home or vote?

Should I stay at home or vote now?
Should I stay at home or vote now?
I vote for one there will be trouble
But then the other could be double
One guy's a wimp, the other's slow...

This indecision's bugging me
Stay in Iraq or let it be?
Wither social security?
Can't get a shot and gas costs rising
Insurance frightens, budget bloats
Should I stay at home or vote?

Should I stay at home or vote now?
Should I stay at home or vote now?
We elect one, there will be trouble
But then the other could be double
Neither's a candidate of note
Should I stay at home or vote?

"One guy's a wimp, the other's slow"--LOL! A mediocre choice of candidates but an excellent parody. I'm pulling the lever for 5's!

Excellent parody. Ah yes, those leaders of yore. Give us back Nixon. Or Harding. Hee hee.

I'll be working, I wouldn't vote this term if they hand delivered the ballot to me. 555

Yet another well-paced, thoughtful parody that explains why I'm writing in "None of the above" on this year's ballot. 5-5-5...

Thanks all for your votes of confidence! BTW...I WILL vote and urge everyone who is eligible to do so, even if you write in "none of the above" for President. Remember congress is also running for re-election, as are many senators and local pols, and your vote can make a difference at the local level.

VOTE! Of course vote! Of course, as Spaff would say, one guy's a wimp, one guy's slow... and the other one's name is John Kerry. (Or is that, "The Ones Guy's a wimp, the Ones Guy's slow...") Merry: That's not funny. Harding was as dumb as Bush, and Nixon was as much of a liar and a warmonger. Don't you remember Nixon's campaign slogan? "One ring to fool them all..."
