I see your parody based upon current events, what with the economy going on today and all. I had to pay a hee-uge bill today that almost cleaned half of my bank account. Now that I read your parody, I feel the need to get a second job. The way I see it, some companies' businesses close down, people lose their homes to foreclosure, get evicted from their apartments, laid off or fired at their jobs, encounter credit card debt, file for bankruptcy, get audited by the IRS, etc. Maybe I should start selling my stuff on eBay. Anyways, thanks for submitting this parody. It's all good!! 555!!

Everyone is very right: this parody definitely fits in with these tough times. I drive a 1978 Dodge Magnum that gets 12mpg in the city and 15 on the highway, and I also live in a highend apartment complex and work at a Castle Megastore (yes, really), so you can see how tough it is for me. 555 welfare checks for you!

OK, speaking of high prices, did I mention that I tend to buy more Night Train, Thunderbird and MD 20/20 wine than I should at high convenience-store prices, and I also smoke two packs of Pall Mall Gold cigarettes a day? Alright, it's timely and well written Jason. I know you prefer non-changing choruses, but as a result this song gets repetitive like it's original real quick. Some songs it adds value, sometimes it subtracts from it. .. still good parody. . .
