The Lyrics

In April 2017 the women's team of Notts County, a soccer team from Nottingham, England, was closed down by new owner Alan Hardy. Grieving supporters of the women's team were subjected to harassment on Twitter by fans of the men's team.
Oh, blooming hummer, look there
The pie men are goading us in Tweets again
Don’t they know that we are in pain?
Our favourite team won’t play again
The cack-brain hubs are shouting us down
The silly clowns say “switch to the men”
Spite from those Nottingham bullies again

My every bell on Twitter will tell
The snipes of these gutless men
They’re saying we can go back to like before
Before the Ladies came
Sleazy men who snicker ‘hurrah’
That the girls have left the stadium
Yes, they’re prats, those Nottingham bullies again

There’s no more Lady Pies from 2017
The saddest sight that women’s football’s ever seen
The girls endure an anxious and uncertain wait
Those Nottingham bullies enjoy their fate
Player or supporter, it will earn you a howl of hate

Hardy, fester!

Nor was it the last time ever
Now we have the liquidation of the Boston Breakers
There’s the same Twitter comments from America
More dumb skites in America
We watch our former players in 1 and 2
Block the Nottingham bullies, what else can we do?
Hardy, fester!

You can find an Aspie fan who finds it hard to carry on
Ask him what he thinks of being told “move on”
Ask a lady player whose club house was to let
How many days did they really get?
We should round trolls up and put them on a ferry
Ship the brutish bullies off to Tartary
Hardy, fester!

Hardy, fester!
