I think Softcell did this one, not the Cure. How DARE you credit the wrong peformer!

This song (the original, that is) is so annoying and mechanical and depressing, it's easy to believe that The Cure did it. Face it, their lead singer was only the third-greatest Robert Smith in music history, behind Buffalo Bob (creator of "Howdy Doody") and the DJ known as Wolfman Jack. It took Rihanna's "SOS" to make this awful piece of trash sound like anything resembling a good song.
